Company history dates back to 1883. In 1951 due to increasing demand for equipment and machinery for boring

works,separatecompanyunderthenameZakładySprzętuWiertniczegowasestablished.Sincethattimemanufactureofboring

equipmentandmachineryandalsorepairingofmachinesandequipmentfordrillingstarted.In1964thenameofcompanywas

changed into Zakłady Mechaniczne Urządzeń Wiertniczych. In 1973 Z.M.U.W. started manufacture of hydraulic driven and

controlledrotarydrillingrigstype„H”.Simultaneouslydrillingassortmentwasextended.In1982companystartedmanufacturing

ofboringequipmentforundergroundminingandalsosprayinginstallationsforcutterloaders.Since2000thecompanystatushas

changedintoZakładyMechaniczneUrządzeńWiertniczychLtd.

The type „P” single tube core barrel is a drilling tool designed for core taking in a mechanical rotary drilling process using mud for bore-hole.The core barrel is lowered into the bore-hole on the drill pipe stand. The single tube core barrel type „W” is a drilling tool designed for core taking in a mechanical rotary drilling process using water for bore-hole revenging.
