Students may not use more than 3 seminars and colloquia (HIST 96) and 2 Independent Study Projects (HIST 97) in satisfying the requirements of the major. Only major courses passed with a letter grade may be counted in satisfaction of the major. Courses taken under the NRO may not be used toward completion of the major. At least 5 courses must be taken in residence in Hanover, including HIST 96 in your concentration. No major courses may be taken NRO. ABOUT THE HONORS PROGRAM Students qualifying for the History Honors Program enroll in HIST 98 in the fall term of their senior year, and write a thesis (HIST 99) over the Winter and Spring terms.
