HISTORIC PLACES IN LONDON
Tower of London Tower of London was built byWilliam the
Conqueror in 1078 The tower's primary function was a
fortress, a royal palace, and a prison. It has also served as a place of execution
and torture,an armoury,a treasury,a zoo,a public records office, an observatory.
London Bridge This is a bridge between the City of
London and Southwark. It was the only bridge over the Thames
below Kingston until Westminister Bridge was opened in 1750

Palace of Westminster
The Palace of Westminster is the Houses of Parliament.
The site may have been first-used for a royal residence.
Its existing buildings contain nearly 1,200 rooms, 100 staircases and 4.8 kilometres (3 mi) of corridors.
Buckingham Palace Buckingham Palace is official residence
of of the British monarch. Was builted in 1703. The Buckingham Palace Garden is the
largest private garden in London. 50,000 people visit the palace each
year.
Big Ben The structure is situated at the north-eastern end of the Hoses of Parliamentin Westminister. It is designed in Pugin's celebrated Gothic Revial style, and is 96.3 metres high.
