American youth.• It is part of the hip hop culture which includes 4 key

elements; rapping, scratching, break dancing and graffiti writing.

• It was designed so there were music breaks for people to dance.

• Hip hop music then influence the creation of rap music, which also includes other parts of the hip hop culture in it.
