Our suggestion for a pushchair walk:A well signposted footpath leads from the mountain station andfollowsa gentleinclinetothe GablonzerhütteandBreininghütteand via the Sonnenalmhütte to the Zwieselalmhöhe/ vantagepoint (1.587 m). This gentle walk is also suitable for children tocomplete on foot! There’s no time for boredom here!

GrosserDonnerkogel2,054 m,route no.611/628 durationapprox. 2-3 hours, difficulty: blackThis route leads past the Gablonzerhütte and on to the deepgorge between the craggy Kleiner Donnerkogel and the dome-shaped Törleck.After a few minutes, you will reach a forkin the route.The right-hand track is the Austriaweg trail which leads to the Stuhlalm.We take the left-hand trail. It leads initially through greener al-dersandpinesandthen acrossrockyledges,debris,steeprockyterraces and a short canyon towards the peak. The top part ofthe route leads over grassy terrain and is a more comfortablewalk.

Zwieselalm circular routeDuration: approx. 2 hours, difficulty: blue/ redThis well-signposted footpath leads from the mountain stationfollowingagentleinclineto theGablonzerhütteand Breiningalm(10 mins), the Sonnenalm (20 mins), the Zwieselalmhöhe (30mins) and finally the Zwieselalmhütte (40 mins).

Fromthe Zwieselalmhütte,therouteleadsalongtheHerrenwegtrail (route no. 611) back to the cable car. The circular trail takesaround 2 hours, including a short break.Note: the route between the Gablonzerhütte and Sonnenalm in-cludes a sign for the chair lift to Annaberg. This only operates inthe height of summer and at certain times. Please take note ofthe operating times on the sign.

Intersport Donnerkogel fixed ropes routeThistrailrunsfromthe GablonzerHüttealongsidethemountainstation along 2 stages and over 400 m of altitude to the summitcross on the Grosser Donnerkogel. The climb crosses somesteep rock faces of medium to difficult level and takes around 3hours.The firststageisadventure-packedbut easierand socanalso be enjoyed by wannabe professional climbers.

Route from the Gosaukammbahn mountain station to theRiedl-kar mountain station. Duration: approx. 1.5 hours,difficulty: blue/ redA well signposted trail leads from the Gosaukammbahn moun-tain station and follows gentle inclines via the Gablonzerhütteand Breiningalm (10 mins), the Sonnenalm (20 mins), the Zwie-selalmhöhe (30 mins), the Zwieselalmhütte (40 mins) and on to

theoverlapsectionwiththe Herrenwegtrail– Russback– Anna-berg. From here, you turn left towards Annaberg

Important tip for your safety in the mountains:Please ensure you have the right equipment onevery tour!This is an Alpine area and you should only tackle lon-ger walks if you have the right equipment with you. Al-ways bring waterproofs, a mobile phone, robustfootwear and a small emergency snack!

The culinary walk to the Rottenhof-hütte in the Zwieselalm takes placeeveryWednesdayfrom12June to16October. Meet at the tourist office.The walk to the Zwieselalm startswith magnificent views of the Dach-stein peak and the surroundingmountains. From here, it’s on to thetraditional Rottenhofhütte. Here 13different cheeses are made in sum-merfromthefreshAlpinemilkwhichyou can sample in a cheese tastingevent.
