A broad portfolio of sensors/transmitters for pressure and depth is available from AMS Technologies for a wide range of industrial

applications. Our offering comprises variants for low pressure ranges and models suitable for pressures of up to 400 bar, as well as

transmitters for gauge and absolute pressure sensing. The pressure transmitters in a stainless steel housing use piezo-resistive tech-

nology, incorporating a microprocessor based amplifi er. They require no adjusting and provide stable electronic signals for industrial

applications. Each pressure sensor device is temperature compensated, calibrated and supplied with a traceable serial number and

calibration certifi cate. Custom versions of pressure ranges and outputs, process and electrical connections are available to suit vari-

ous applications

The IPS and IPSU industrial pressure transducer series are

suitable for use in a wide range of industrial applications.

These transducers use a piezo-resistive ceramic pressure

sensor, giving excellent media compatibility within a

stainless steel housing.

Models for BSP or NPT process connection are available.

Options for electrical connection are DIN 43650 or M12

connectors (mating cable and plug assemblies available),

and the output is calibrated in metric or psi ranges.

Low pressure ranges are the specialty of the IPSL series

of industrial pressure transducers. With their piezo-resistive

silicon sensor, giving excellent media compatibility within

an oil fi lled 316L stainless steel housing, these devices

provide stable pressure signals especially in high vibration/

shock applications. Options for electrical connection are

DIN 43650 or M12 connectors (mating cable and plug

assemblies available). Custom versions can be made for

particular applications.

Designed for continuous submersion in liquids such as

water, oil and other non-aggressive chemicals, the ILS and

ILSU series of submersible pressure sensors use the latest

piezo-resistive media-isolated silicon sensing technology

and a stainless steel diaphragm within a 316L stainless steel

housing. With outputs calibrated in metric or psi ranges,

the ILS and ILSU series offer excellent reliability, stability,

repeatability and resolution, as required for hydrostatic level

measurement in rivers and reservoirs.

Based on the popular IPS series of pressure sensors,

the key benefi t of the IWPT range of wireless pressure

transmitters and receivers is low-cost installation for long

distances as well as in inaccessible environments or on

moving structures. The transmitters are easily paired to the

compatible IWR family of single- (IWR-1) or fi ve-channel

(IWR-5) wireless receivers, thus offering a “plug and play”

solution to your pressure measurement applications with a

line-of-sight range of up to 750 m.

ture sensors are essential

control. Amongst the differ-

ent types of temperature

sensors, thermistors pro-

vide very high sensitivity,

small size and appropriate

speed. AMS Technologies’ extensive range of NTC thermistor

temperature sensor probes with base resistance values from

5 kΩ to 231.5 kΩ include various types from ultraminiature bare

bead, epoxy coated and pipe versions (poly- imide, brass, brass

nickel, stainless steel – threaded and unthreaded) to fl ange

mount and plate models. Sizes range from 0.5 mm to 6.5 cm with

Tefl on coated lead lengths from 5 cm to 45 cm.

Liquid level sensors utilise

reed switches contained

within a fi xed housing that

are activated by a magnet

contained within a fl oat. The

movement of the fl oat, due

to liquid level changes, caus-

es the reed switch to operate

at a particular level. With a broad range of different plastic materials

for stem and fl oat, these sensors are suitable for use in many fl uids,

including corrosive acids, and at temperatures of up to +120 °C.

Other options include vertical or horizontal mount, assorted fi tting

methods and external or internal mounting. A further range of

sensors in a basic metal design completes the range and features

APEX approved parts.

to sense and monitor the

fl ow of liquids in pressur-

ized and unpressurised

systems. Based on reed

switch technology, inline

fl ow switches can be used for the direct control of electric pumps

and paddle fl ow switches detect fl ow of liquids externally. Paddle

fl ow switches are provided with a selection of paddles for various

fl ow rates, high temperature versions are also available. Ultra-

sonic fl ow meters detect fl ow rates with no physical contact and

provide a low-cost solution to minimise pressure drop. These

fl ow meters have no moving parts to ensure they will not clog or

jam.

agement applications from

compact recirculating chillers, cabinet coolers, direct cooling of

electronic components, and white goods to mobile refrigeration.

For smooth and easy temperature adjustment, these miniature

rotary BLDC compressors with cooling capacities up to 2000 W

are continuously speed-controllable via the frequency of a square

wave signal. The inverter board is included, a test function board

for easy evaluation is also available as an option.
