• 40 game-changing social action projects in England have received grants ranging from £100,000 to £2 million
• Aim to recruit 458,552 volunteers and 2,551,579 social action participants over the lifetime of the Fund
• Volunteers recruited so far 102,449 • Social action participants so far 1,794,716
Highlights
• 42% social action projects have met or exceeded their projections on the number of volunteers they could recruit so far
• 15% so far have more than doubled their target number of volunteers
• 21% have meet or exceeded their projections on the number of ‘social action participants’ they’d be able to attract
• A further 21% have smashed their targets and more than doubled the number of ‘social action participants’ attracted so far.
Performance
• Consortia where new consortium members are on the stocks and can easily be added, and already have all the infrastructure to set agreements with members and monitor their work
• Large organisations with extensive branch networks for example can easily replicate programmes in new areas
