The Highlands of Peru is one of the natural

regions of Peru.

This region includes the mountainous zone:

The Andes.

It’s the most rugged, inaccessible and for 

many people the best view in South America.

 A characteristic of themountain region is the drop intemperature during the day: Temperatures commonly

range around 24°C at midday

before plunging to -3°C atnight.

There are two:

Dry season:

From April to October  Marked by sunny days

and cold nights

Rainy season

From November to March

It rains a lot.

Cajamarca: History

The origin of this city goes back

over 3,000 years (Pre-Incan age).

In the Incan age was built temples

and palaces It was an administrative, military

and religious centre of 

Tahuantinsuyo Empire.

(Government of Pachacutec).

In 1932, it was a scenery of the

most trascendent event in the

universal history: Inca Atahualpa

capture.

Huánuco is located in the central part of Peru;

of the Inca, where one can see the
