The ROTOR is the fastest and most powerful colony manipulation robot in the world. It is essential for any large-scale microbial functional or chemical genomic studies.
This easy-to-use, compact bench-top robot is elegantly designed for the picking and re-plating of yeast, fungi, bacteria and algae colonies at densities 96, 384, 1536 and 6144. Using the 6144 RePads, the ROTOR can replicate the entire yeast deletion library in quadruplicate in less than 20 seconds! Reagent sets such as deletion mutant collections and the complete set of cloned yeast genes can be utilised for high-throughput 2-hybrid, synthetic genetic array, phenotypic and chemical-genetic analyses.
The ROTOR uses a robotic arm and sterile, ready-to-use replica plating pads to pick up samples of cells from culture plates. The robotic arm then moves to a new ‘target’ plate and deposits the cells. The operator selects and uses an appropriate program from a simple, drop-down menu.

Singer PlusPlates have increased internal plating dimension, providing larger area for cell growth. This is essential for precise replication of colonies at high density. PlusPlates have a standard external footprint, making them compatible with other instruments that accept SBS-standard plates.

The Stinger is an automated modular extension to the ROTOR HDA robot for easy, ultra-fast rearrangement of high-density library arrays of yeast, other fungi, bacteria, and algae from colonies grown on solid agar or in liquid culture. It is designed for the picking and spotting of user-specified colonies from high-density arrays onto solid agars in 96-, 384-, 1536-, and 6144-density format.
The Stinger expands the functionality of the ROTOR HDA robot by enabling the re-arraying of specific individual colonies of interest from high-density agar plates and multi-well dishes. The Stinger allows researchers to easily and accurately produce custom arrays comprising functionally related strains/mutants, or to generate a subset of library arrays to follow-up with initial screening results.

The PhenoBooth is a fast, semi-automated plate reader for imaging and analysis of cell colonies. Its open-architecture enables fully customisable workflows. Data export and import is possible at any stage, as well as having compatibility for LIMS integration.
The PhenoBooth takes a high-resolution image of colonies on any number of plates, and then PhenoSuite’s integrated batch analysis workflow takes the user through: Image Pre-processing, Measurement, Normalisation, Analysis and Visualisation, with a single-click. Application specific software packages, such as SGA Analysis or Zone Inhibition are integrated seamlessly. Using advanced PhenoSuite software it can perform time-lapse imaging, generate colony growth curves, and automate a multitude of downstream analysis with minimal user-input.

PhenoSuite software uses Singer’s signature easy-to-use interface to automatically and accurately measure many colony properties. PhenoSuite is powerful yet flexible, of-fering a variety of custom-made work packages to auto-mate your entire analysis workflow.
The powerful PhenoSuite software accurately counts and measures the selected colony features. Image capture can also be scheduled to analyse cell size over a specified period of time and create detailed growth curves of each colony.
