Taga-Taisha Shrine
This shrine, popularly known as “Otaga-san”, is home to the
god of longevity and matchmaking, which makes it a popular
destination for people from around the country, including
historical figures like Toyotomi Hideyoshi, who was himself a
patron of this shrine.
The shrine is located about 2 km from Kirin Brewery Shiga
Plant (5 minutes by car /12 minutes by bicycle). Why don’t you
visit the shrine before or after your visit to the Kirin plant?

take your rented bicycle on Ohmi Railway trains to easily
visit a wider area. * Please note, you are not permitted to get on or off at Hikone Station.
