Where complex technology meets adverse installation conditions, toughness is needed: the Monsun® 2 LED protects its high-efficiency interior with a really hard shell.

Withstands alot and continues performing.

Whether with narrow or wide illumination, the Monsun® 2 LED distributes its light consistently and reliably even in the most adverse conditions, and it takes a lot of beating. The housing consists of glass-fi bre reinforced polyester and the PC cover has IK08 impact resistance. The cover is also available in PMMA for increased resistance against chemical substances.

The surface form ensures that the luminaire is not prone to dirt residues, and conceals a sealed system with external plug connection (IP66 – 'sealed for life'). In short: the Monsun® 2 LED can easily cope with jet water as well as humidity, dirt, dust and hot and cold temperatures (+40° C down to -25° C).

Monsun® 2 LED | Applications

Born to work.

The reflector and enclosure system guide the light precisely downwards with maximum luminous efficacy onto the illuminated working plane. Mounting heights of 3 to 8 metres are partnered with narrow and wide light beam patterns. Glare control is with prismatic covers for UGR values < 25 with colour rendering of > 80 (CRI).

All of these strengths are exploited by the Monsun® 2 LED both in industrial applications as well as in public areas, from assembly and manufacturing to deep freezes and from canopied outdoor areas to circulation zones. The Monsun® 2 LED luminaire range with PC cover also complies with the requirements of the IFS (International Featured Standards) for safety and quality in the food industry.

The Monsun® 2 LED is not only designed for challenging surroundings but also for various electrical requirements, giving maximum flexibility for diverse applications, and for direct or alternating current.

DALI or non-dimmable ECG? The choice is yours. The Monsun® 2 LED is available with 3-pole plug connections for switchable electronic control units and with 5-pole plug connections for dimmable DALI control units. Whatever the version for your project, one-sided feed as

well as 1-phase through-wiring is easy to implement in both cases. In addition, luminaires with switching relays are also available, for switching between normal power supply and a second supply. Luminous flux is reduced by approximately 15 % with DC voltage operation.

Modario® trunking rails are equipped with pre- assembled through-wiring with a 2.5 mm² cable cross-section. 5 or 10 cores are available according

to requirements to enable supplementary functions such as DALI.
