Our first stop will be at Stewart-Peterson for tour and lunch followed by stops at Soaring Eagle and Pagel’s Ponderosa dairy farms. Stewart-Peterson We understand how challenging it can be to manage a dairy, especially when profit mar-gins are tough to achieve. Our passion is helping businesses manage commodity price opportunities and risks. Stewart-Peterson has served clients in the commodity markets since 1985.

Soaring Eagle Dairy

Jim and Sandi Fitzgerald along with three daughters and their families own and operate the dairy which currently has 1100 cows on 1800 acres. Heifers are raised until 5 months and sent to a grower in Colorado. In 2005, they converted from mattresses to sand bed-ding.

Pagels Ponderosa Dairy John Pagel along with four children and their families own and operate the 5000 cow, rotary parlor dairy located in Kewaunee, WI. Will also visit the 600 head calf ranch—with heif-ers up to 6 months old.

American Foods Group, LLC AFG is the sixth largest meat packer in the US. The Green Bay plant slaughters 2100 hd/day with 800 of those being dairy cows. They export to 25 countries. The tour will include the full plant.

Calf Source Owned by Milk Source, it is home to 9000-9500 calves from 1 day to 6 months old. They raise primarily for 4 dairies along with several local smaller dairies and have 35 employees.

Robinway Dairy Farms Jay and Pam Binversie and their three chil-dren own and operate Robinway Dairy with 1100 cows and 1400 acres row crop. They utilize sand separation, irrigation, manure pumping, and a brush prep in parlor.
