The spray gun generates an electrostatic field to the earthed work piece through the high-voltage electrode. The paint is electrostaticallycharged, follows the field lines and is attractedto the object (wrap-around effect). Thanks to the electrostatic charge of the atomised material, the application efficiency is improvedby up to 65% compared with conventional airatomising systems.

■ High surface quality

Due to the electrostatic charge (max. 80 kV) the paint particles repel each other, assistingdistribution and atomisation.

Due to the electrical field lines and the oppositepolarity of the work piece, the paint particles arealso formed into a homogeneous spray jet. Theextremely uniform application of the materialresulting from this, and the uniform thickness of the film, ensures a particularly high quality ofcoating result.

■ High savings in time

The electrostatically charged paint is attracted to both sides of the earthed object. This wrap-around effect saves time, as the objectsmay only have to be coated from one side.
