While the Federal law states that a whiskey must be 51% rye grain to be classified as a rye, we chose to push our grain content to 95%. This not only pushes the flavor forward, but it also magnifies the unique profile of the rye grains. MAKER’S MARK Fruity and rich. There are lovely notes of spiced honey and mixed peels, a little malmsey, hazelnut and a touch of cut fruit with toasty oak providing a backbone. The Finish is quite sweet with butterscotch and dry oak spice. BULLEIT Medium amber in color, with gentle spiciness and sweet oak aromas. Mid-palate is smooth with tones of maple, oak, and nutmeg. Finish is long, dry, and satiny with a light toffee flavor.
