The Microsoft VC 2005 SP1 ATL redistributable pack MUST be installed prior to installing this EPM System Service Fix. Microsoft has identified a security issue which could allow a hacker to compromise your Windowsbased system. Note that the readme says to download thepatch to Oracle_Home; please download it to Hyperion_Home.

Installing This Service Fix

The section includes important information about installing this service fix.

To apply this service fix:

On the Hyperion Financial Management Application Server, perform the following:

1. Ensure all HFM Services are stopped.

2. Download and unzip the downloaded service fix file, p9323968_1111323_WINNT.zip or

p9323968_1111323_x64.zip (depending on your platform), to the

<HYPERION_HOME>/OPatch directory.

Note: p9323968_11113_WINNT.zip or p9323968_11113_x64.zip is the name that My

Oracle Support assigns to this service fix. When you download the file, a messageindicates what the filename is.

3. From a command line, change the directory to <HYPERION_HOME>/OPatch.

4. For Windows platforms only, from a command line, set the OPATCH_PLATFORM_ID as atemporary environment variable with the value that corresponds to the system you arepatching.

set OPATCH_PLATFORM_ID=<PLATFORM ID>

where <PLATFORM ID> can be any of the following:

912 Microsoft Windows (32-bit) 233 Microsoft Windows x64 (64-bit)

Example: For a Microsoft Windows 64-bit platform run:

5. Enter the following command:

hpatch apply <HYPERION_HOME>/OPatch/HFM_11_1_1_3_23

Uninstalling This Service Fix

To uninstall a service fix:

1. From a command line, change the directory to <HYPERION_HOME>/OPatch.

2. Enter the following command:

hpatch rollback -id 9323968
