Día del Libro Author Mila Hajjar will present her book, Mamá y Pupa, Tuesday, April 23, to the third-graders in the International Studies Spanish Program.
Mamá is a woman with hair as happy as a day of celebration. Pupa is a sweet-eyed kitten fenced in an animal shelter cage. She has a problem: she does not want to eat. Mamá adopts her, takes her home, and does everything to make Pupa eat but fails. Pupa becomes weaker, and the vet does not know what to do. They are about to lose hope when Mamá comes up with a plan…
This book is much more than a true story. In it, Mamá and Pupa give two different versions of the facts. When we compare them, we understand that both are right and that reality changes according to the character´s point of view. The illustrations have been made for the purpose of developing the reader´s fantasy and are inspired by the paintings of the Spanish painter Joan Miró. Mamá y Pupa was a finalist in the Best Book Awards 2017 international competition in the category of illustrated books for children.

Show the order form on the back of the brochure to family, friends, neighbors and coworkers. (There are more forms available in the school office)
Explain that you are raising money for the school.
Let your customers choose their favorites.
Complete a line on the order form for each customer and total the order on the right side of the order form.
Collect payment for their total order, cash and checks accepted.
Prizes are cumulative: The more you sell the more you win!!
