Heropanti Movie Review Heropanti Movie Review Heropanti is directed by Sabbir Khan who made his directorial debut with disastrous “Kambakkht Ishq”. The director, despite having a plethora of stars in the movie, with Hollywood biggies such as Sylvester Stallone and Brandon Routh, failed to make any favourable impression. During the promotional tour of “Heropanti”, he had said that he has learned from his mistakes and has become a better director. But, with what was served in “Heropanti”, it seems he has only regressed. Plot outline There isn't much in “Heropanti” movie which could qualify as a plot. The director aimlessly throws couple of stereotypes together to develop a drab and threadbare plot. The movie is set in the orthodox “Jatland” where society is too misogynist. A young lovers have run away and to be bride's father unleashes his goons to track them down. In a bid to find to find them, he rounds up boy's best buddies and one of them is Babloo (Tiger Shroff) And out of nowhere he falls in love with the to-be-bride's younger sister (Kriti Sanon). He now has a herculean task of winning his ladylove without offending his fearsome father. That's what i meant by the threadbare plot. Actor Performance Tiger Shroff has unbelievably stunning masculine physique and unusually beautiful feminine face. His acting performance leaves lot to be desired, his dialogue delivery is very poor. However, his action stunts are simply stunning and are highlight of “Heropanti”. It is only those sequences which show him performing gravity defying acrobatics, which entertain audiences. Kriti Sanon has very limited role, however she manages to do reasonably well in her role of damsel in distress. She has the beauty and grace which could help her in the industry where majority of movies just need leading ladies to act as eye candies. Prakash Raj has once again done a decent job.

  • Positive pointsAction sequences. Some of the stunts which Shroff Jr. manages to do are simply breathtaking. He has great agility and great body to become a good action hero. Heropanti could have been much better and bearable if the director had focussed a bit more on his lead actor's strengths.

Negative pointsThe direction. It is too linear and amateurish. Everything in the movie happens randomly and doesn't have much connection with the logic. For example, to show the budding romance between the lead pair director usesrandom songs rather than any meaningful surge of emotions or strong passion. The dialogues of Heropanti are another annoying aspect. Especially, Shroff Jr's repetitive take on his Heropanti.

VerdictHeropanti is a dull and predictable movie with some cool stunts thrown together. Tiger Shroff impresses with hisaction stunts, but disappoints otherwise. However, if he stars in another action movie, I will definitely watch it. Not sure, about this one though.
