1 Introduction

Chapter 1: Introduction-This Chapter is about Products features and basic Product function. After

reading this chapter, you will know what feature the product has and basic hardware

operation. Also you will know how to perform soft-rest and hard-rest in this chapter.

Chapter 2: Device Disassembling and Assembling Procedure- After reading this chapter, you will

learn how to disassemble and assemble the product. Also, you will know what tools touse and the torque. Please follow the instruction to disassemble the unit to prevent

from damaging the unit.

Chapter 3: ROM Re-flash Procedure- After reading this chapter, you will learn how to perform

the ROM image re-flesh by using RUU and SD-Card. Also you can find the steps of

enter the boot loader mode.

2.2 Disassembling procedure

1. Torx screw-driver T52. Phillips screw-driver 00x403. Flat plastic stick (P/N: RTT-00006)4. Cleaning cloth5. Plastic tweezers6. ESD wrist strap.

7. Oven for rework purpose

Take out the battery cover by followingthe direction of the arrow.

Remove the battery pack by lifting thebattery from the battery compartment asshown.

1. Loosen 6 screws from the housing atthe location indicated.

2. Insert the flat plastic stick in betweenthe bezel and the housing and thenslide along the housing to separatethe housing and the bezel.

3. Disassemble the housing by followingthe direction of the arrows.

1. Take out the speaker from thehousing by using flat plastic stick.

2. Please follow the sequence and thedirection of the arrows.

1. Loosen 4 screws from the housingat the location indicated.

2. Take out the microphone rubber.

1. Remove the 3 tapes at the locationindicated.

2. Disconnect the LCM and the touchwindow connector at the locationindicated.

1. Take out the main board by followingthe sequence and the direction ofthe arrows.

2. Remove a part of conductive fabricas shown.

1. Remove the FPC from the mainboard at the location indicated.

2. Lift up the I/O board and disconnectthe connector as shown.

Disconnect the main camera connectorfrom the main board and take out thecamera as shown.

1. Remove the kapton tape at thelocation indicated.

2. Disassemble the I/O board byfollowing the sequence and thedirection of the arrows.

3. Remove the kapton tape at thelocation indicated, take out the trackball and disconnect the APP FPCconnector at the location indicated.

1. Remove the mylar and the keypad atthe location indicated.

2. Remove the touch window FPC byusing the flat plastic stick ascarefully as you can (dont bend theFPC or you may crack the solder)

Take out the LCM by following thesequence and the direction of thearrows.

Remove the 76H03900-00M PCB supportfrom the bezel as shown.

Take out the receiver by lifting it up.

1. Put the bezel into an oven for 25minutes at 60 degree Celsius.

2. Paste protective film to protect theinner side of the touch panel.

3. Put a piece of thin sponge on the topof the protective film as shown.

4. Press down the touch window at thelocation indicated.

5. Disassemble the touch window byfollowing the direction of the arrow

Note: Do not send back the touchwindow if the inner side of the touchwindow is scratched or the FPC isdamaged.

2.3 Assembling procedure

Paste 76H04135-00M kapton tapeonto the I/O board at the locationindicated

Paste 77H00668-00M LDI label and76H04027-00M conductive doublesided tape onto the I/O board at thelocation indicated.

Tear the kapton tape from USBconnector and paste it at the locationindicated to cover the electroniccomponent.

Paste 76H04309-00M kapton tape atthe location indicated.

Paste 72H03714-00M &72H03817-00M EMI gasket at thelocation indicated by following theshape of the rigid flex board.

Note: Leave the upper side of the72H03714-00M release tape.

1. Fold the EMI gasket to the backside.

2. Remove EMI gasket fromhousing at the location indicated.

1. Stick 72H03818-00M EMI gasketonto USB connector as shown.

2. Make sure the gasket is attachedproperly on both side of the USBconnector.

1. Connect APP FPC pre assemblyconnector to the I/O board andremove the release tape at thelocation indicated if any.

2. Paste 76H03583-00M kapton tapeand put 36H00764-00M track ball

into the support at the locationindicated.

1. Assemble the I/O board byfollowing the direction of thearrow.

2. Insert the I/O board under thehook as shown.

3. Make sure you can see the guidepins when you stick another sideof the I/O board.

4. Paste a kapton tape at thelocation indicated.

Note: Make sure you are using thecorrect I/O board (region ID High /Low) on your device.

Note: Make sure all of the tape,gasket and LDI label are attachedproperly on your main board at thelocation indicated.

1. Connect the I/O board connectorto the main board.

2. Lift up the conductive fabric andthen stick the APP FPC to themain board.

Note: remove the release tape beforeassembly, if any.

3. Stick the conductive fabric to fixthe APP FPC.

Connect the camera connector to themain board at the location indicated.

1. Insert the touch window FPC intothe location indicated.

2. Assemble the touch window byfollowing the sequence and thedirection of the arrows.

3. Press the touch window firmlyaround as shown in red

Install receiver into the bezel at thelocation indicated.

Note: please make sure the receiversprings toward inside.

1. Assemble the LCM into the bezelby following the sequence andthe direction of the arrows.

2. Stick the touch window FPC ontothe LCM back side. (Note: Pleasefollow the dotted line as theguide line).

Put the keypad and paste a mylar atthe location indicated.

Stick a PCB support (76H03900-00M)between the receiver and LCM at thelocation indicated.

Note: Make sure the main board isinserted under the hook and twoguide pins can be seen afterassemble.

Fasten two screws (72H00724-00MTorque 0.4 +/-0.1 kgf-cm) at thelocation indicated (left picture) and

fasten another two screws(72H02329-00M Torque 0.7 +/-0.1kgf-cm) at another location indicated(right picture).

Note:

1. Connect the touch windowconnector and LCD connector atthe location indicated.

2. Put the microphone rubber(76H03408-00M) at the locationindicated.

Paste a kapton tape (76H03581-00M),EMI gaskets (72H03578-00M) and(72H03580-00M) at the locationindicated. (left, middle and rightlocation)
