Who are we ?

AEGE is a student association, created in 2009, managed by 15 engineering

students o the Water and Groundwater Department o the NationalSchool o Geology o Nancy (E.N.S.G). The association objective is to linkuniversities and the industrial sector with the aim o communicating ontechnologies, challenges and jobs o the water sector.

We are 15 Master’s students in the Water and Groundwater Departmentgraduating in 2010. We are specialized in the various felds o theGeosciences, especially in water, environmental and groundwater–linkedchallenges in natural and athropogenic environments. More specifcally,our curriculum allows us to gain global view o the water challenges and todevelop advanced skills in characterization, management, and protectiono groundwater and shallow water resources; as well as in water treatmentand geothermal exploitation.

Since its creation, 3000 junior engineers have graduated rom the school,26% o them work in the water and environment industry.

Inventory of sustainable solutions for watermanagement and polutions remediation

With the aim o completing and achieving our curriculum while discovering

the realities o our uture jobs, A.E.G.E is planning a student trip in Moroccorom the 15th to the 21th o February 2010.

Water as a resource is world heritage. Its use has been in constantevolution and has always been vital to humans or: water supply, energyproduction, irrigation, industrial processes… To satisy these needs inquality and quantity, an integrated management and preservation strategyhas emerged.

The case o Morocco is particularly interesting. Due to its climate, moderntechniques and methods have to be developed to allow water productionas required by the economic and social development while preserving thequality and quantity o the resource. This integrated strategy is an exampleo sustainable management. Thus we have chosen to prepare a trip inMorocco to discover sustainable solutions in the domain o water andenvironment in a developing country. Also, we would like to visit severalsites where this strategy is routinely used or could be developed.

The association was created to be a link between universities and theindustry, thereore we guarantee that we are willing to act as ambassadors o your organization. We are currently contacting public partners, universitiesand schools that could help us in communicating on this project and waterchallenges in general. In addition, since the school is part o the I.N.P.L wecan have an impact over a large audience.We guarantee that we will present our sponsors during the trip and inevery project presentation. Our communication strategy is based on the

use o 3 dierent medias:- Oral and visual presentation of the project before and after the trip to thevarious audiences described previously ;- redaction o a report at the end o the trip ;- creation o a blog with advertisement o each o our sponsors, providinglinks to the websites o our partners, directly accessible rom the E.N.S.GSchool website.
