In affiliation with RoundSquare, we hosted ‘Arogya Bhagya’ (‘good health’ in Kannada), a day-long healthcare event for government school children. Volunteers from the Inventure community including 35 doctors (dentists, eye specialists, ENT specialists and general physicians) and 120 students contributed their time and skills to conduct medical screenings (ENT, dental, vision and general), and create Kahaaniyans (medical stories) for over 500 government school children.

TTo take this initiative forward, our Student Council aims to set-up clinics within the government schools that these children attend. They will furnish the clinics with mattresses, bedding material, first-aid kits, sanitary napkins and gauze dressing.Read more here.

The Investiture Ceremony for the Student Council of 2017-2018 was a memorable day for our elected office bearers who took their oath in the presence of students, faculty and management, as well as Chief Guest Dr Ashwin Mahesh, a well known urbanist, journalist, politician and social technologist. His inspiring message left us with much to reflect on: “Meet new people; try things you don’t normally do; be persistent in whatever you do and make it a part of the rhythm of your life.”

Maker Space held its first exhibition - the Maker Assemble. From playful lights, to earrings that play soothing music, standing desks, a protective shade for our security personnel at the gates, to watch bands which send out notifications to teachers as reminders, projects by students of Grades 5 to 8 featured solutions to everyday prproblems/challenges that people around them faced.

Reading and writing workshops form an integral part of the Inventure English curriculum aimed at fostering lifelong readers and writers. Students showcase their work for our parents during Publishing. Students displayed their writing skills including pieces on their favorite pets/animals and hobbies, as well as topics like ‘My Mother is not jujust my Mother but also an Individual’, ‘Going back and trying again if you don’t succeed at first’ and more.

Commissioned by the UK’s Royal Shakespeare Company, this children’s play from the Bangalore School of Speech & Drama and directed by Dr. Zulfia Shaikh is based on CS Lewis’ popular series, ‘The Chronicles of Narnia’. 16 year-old Riddhi came up with the melody for the song ‘In Narnia I am free’, which according to the team, turned out to be one of the moto be one of the most uplifting factors of the play!

Aayush Varghese and Rahul Menon (Grade 11) of Band ‘Kyojin released their maiden album 'Tana'. In their words: "Our album focusses on the different emotions we feel, and how we can address the negativity we face as a society. We hope that our music will make lives better and happier, just as it has done for us."
