Inventure’s ASSET (Assessment of Scholastic Skills through Educational Testing) results for 2016-17 continued to be excellent, helping us benchmark ourselves against our vision which includes academic excellence as a core component.

Some notable highlights of Inventure’s performance in ASSET Winter 2016: 1. Amongst the Top 10 schools in the country for English - Grades 3 to 10; Science - Grades 6 to 10; Math - Grades 6 & 10, Social Studies - Grades 6 & 72. #1 school 2. #1 school for English - Grades 7 to 10.3. Grades 6 and 10 amongst top 10 schools in the country across all subjects4. Overall performance improvement over last year across the subjects5. 41 students amongst top 99 percentile* in the country (Please see attachment for the list of students)

200,000 students from across India took part in the The National Cyber Olympiad (NCO), National Science Olympiad (NSO), International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO) and the International French Olympiad (iFLO) conducted between October 2016 and January 2017.

Here is a summary of Inventure’s performance:NCO: 7 gold, 4 silver, 4 bronze, 8 medals of excellence at the school/zonal level. Mudit Verma (Grade 6) and Yash Podar (Grade 9) also received merit certificates at the zonal/international level.NSO: 10 gold, 8 silver, 8 bronze, 2 medals of excellence, 1 merit certificate at the school/zonal level. IMOIMO: 9 gold, 9 silver, 8 bronze, 4 medals of excellence 1 merit certificate at the school/zonal level. Naman Jain (Grade 4) also won the bronze medal at the zonal/international level.iFlo: 3 gold, 2 silver, 1 bronze at the school/zonal level.

The “ALCHEMISTS” representing Inventure were finalists at the second edition of the Knowledge@Wharton High School (KWHS) Investment Competition. KWHS is an online investment simulation for high school students and had 200+ students taking part this year from twelve countries.

Students from the Changemaker Program attended the Global Social Entrepreneurship Summit in Mumbai organised by Consilience to address the “wicked problems” that plague society today, including clean water and sanitation, quality education, sustainable agriculture, and sustainable cities and communities. Students used Design Thinking to come up with ecome up with ecologically and economically viable solutions to solve these problems.

The Inventure Counselling Team recently won the 'Active Program for Counselling Mental Health for Children' award at the Parikrama Health Awards. More than 450 nominations were filed, with Inventure emerging the winner in this category from among 70 shortlisted schools.

Joel Tony of Grade 8 secured the second position at the Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM) national talent search exam. He was also one of two students selected from Karnataka for the fourth and final level of VVM’s national camp in Delhi.

Primary School hosted ‘Celebration of Learning’ for Term 2, where students took parents on their journey of learning in Math, Hindi, Computers and Theme.

Students of Grade 4 visited the gardens in Lalbagh to see the flower show as part of Theme - learning outside the classroom. The children had an exciting time making connections to what they learnt in class, and transferring their learning outdoors.

Middle School students showcased their learnings through the year in Math, the Sciences and Social Studies through the Middle School Exhibitions. Projects included strategies to manage urban growth, managing disasters, the Syrian refugee crisis, building a noise sensor, finding a way to remove salt from seawater, to name a few.

Inventure students met with admissions advisors from top universities in Asia, UK and the US. The sessions included discussions on admissions requirements, course options, scholarships, accreditations, tips on writing personal statements and essay writing.

Grades 4 and 5 went on their much anticipated INME outbound trips to Coorg. The theme for these grades was exploration, with the learning focus on independence and self worth.

Grade 4 take a field trip to Lalbagh

Through "Budget 2017" students of grades 9 & 11 discussed the Budget and examined its impact on various stakeholders across the country. The session culminated with a lively Q&A session that highlighted some insightful analysis of the year’s budget.

Mr Noah Hogan, Consular Officer, American Consulate at Chennai took the students through the visa application process to the US as well through a mock interview session.

Inventure Academy sponsored 800 students of the Parikrama Foundation to watch the acclaimed movie 'Poorna’. Grades 6 to 12 Inventure students also joined them for the outing.

Grade 12 Inventurers organized an eye check-up camp for the students of Government Model Primary Girls School. The session included general health practices as well as how treatment plans

Children from Thayi Mane (a children’s home) were invited to Inventure Academy for a day of fun activities, games and lunch with students of Kindergarten and Primary School. Our students also gave them toys and books collected as a part of our ‘Joy of Giving’ drive during the Baby’s Day Out carnival.
