If you would like your child to be involved please speak to your coaches. We have limited numbers with priority going to U10s and younger. Tickets for that game are also available through the scheme at £10 adults £5 Children (£2 and £1 respectively come back to Hepworth JFC) Pre Season Newsletter 2014-15 Hepworth Juniors along with the Men’s and Ladies Team currently have plans submitted with Kirklees planning for a shared Clubhouse. The project if approved would see the club sell its current clubhouse in Hepworth Village and with the support of grants and fundraising build a much needed on site clubhouse. The building would have 2 changing rooms with showers and officials changing rooms. There would be a Kitch- en that could provide food and drinks on match-days along with a bar and social area. We have had feedback on the original plans from Kirklees and we need to make some chang- es to the size of the social side of the building and address on site parking. We have just re- vised plans and have met with Councillors last week to talk through the changes and look- ing to re submit in the next few weeks. If you would like to learn more about the plans we have copies at the pitch today in the Hepworth Gazebo, please come and see Dave Brennan. If you could offer any skills, services, sponsorship to this project and would like to get involved please do speak to your coach and he will put you in contact with the project team DID YOU KNOW? We have entered 14 teams in to the Huddersfield Junior League between aged U9 to U16 We also have U8, 7 and 6s training and the club have 2 adult teams and a Ladies team Guard of Honour opportunity at HTAFC JUNIOR CLUB SECRETARY SITUATION VACANT Our current Junior Club Secretary, Claire Field has held the role for 5 years and done a superb job in keeping the club organised and handling our dealings with the Huddersfield League and Sheffield FA. Claire will now be stepping down and we do therefore need to fill this role for this season and need a volunteer to continue the great work Claire has been doing. The primary roles and responsibilities of the Club Secretary are to Handle the communications between the Club and Huddersfield Junior League and Football Associations. Register the teams with the league. Register the players with the league to obtain player photocards. Keep a register of all the club’s players. Minute the Managers’ Monthly meetings. The pre season is a key time of the year. Teams are registered in May/June and players in July/August. The remainder of the year has a fairly level amount of work in minuting the monthly meetings and handling communications from the league. It is key that we fill this role as we cannot meet our obligations without it. So I do hope there is someone within the wider club community who feels they could help and contribute some time and ensure the club can continue at strength for many years to come. If you are interested in finding out more about the role please make contact with Rob Wilks on [email protected]. Claire will be available to help the transition and to handle any questions as the new Club Secretary finds their feet. We have just this week held 3 successful training camp mornings. 30 children each day from across 4 different age groups have participated in the ses- sions. Led by coaches Malcolm Bailey and Ann Taylor the boys and girls have enjoyed football and other fun sports games. On Friday we also had a visit from ex Premier League footballer David Howells (pictured) We feel it has been a success and will look to do similar activities in future Holidays Summer Training Camp Mornings
