Early Life Born on April 16, 1924 in

Cleveland, Ohio. His real name is Enrico Nicola

Mancini but he changed it to Henry when he got older.

He grew up playing the flute, piano, and piccolo. At age 12 he took up arranging

After high school graduation he enrolled in the Juilliard School of Music, but his studies were interrupted when he was drafted to the Air Force during WWII and worked in the Band. He was hired as a pianist and established musical ties here.

Career Path He was hired to play in Miller Band where he met his future wife

singer, Ginny O’ Connor. They married in 1947 at moved to LA. In 1952 he joined the Universal studios music department . Over

the next six years he contributed to over 100 films. He chose to go independent and left the studio in 1958

He started working on the television series “Peter Gun” soon after. He was in high demand and conducted over 600 symphony

performances for the London Symphony Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and many more.

In 1966, 1980, and 1984 he performed for the Royal Family

Henry’s Life

Wife Ginny, Twin daughters Monica and Felice and son Christopher

Henry died on June 14th, 1994. He is survived by his wife and 3 children who continue his legacy and programs.
