Synopsis of Featured Shakespeare Play
A Midsummer Night’s DreamThis is one of the great comedy plays by William Shakespeare, about the adventures
of four young lovers, a group of amateur actors and their interactions with the fairies who inhabit a moonlit forest.
The story takes place mostly on Midsummer Night and is a complex farce featuring Hermia & Lysander and Helena & Demetrius. Their romantic intrigues are confused and become more complicated when they enter the forest of Oberon, King of the Fairies and his Queen, Titania.
Puck (or Robin Goodfellow) is a major character who is full of mischief and tricks. Other visitors to the enchanted forest include Bottom the weaver and his friends Snug, Snout, Quince and Flute, the amateur dramatists who want to rehearse their terrible but hilarious version of the play Pyramus and Thisbe, which they plan to perform at the wedding of Theseus, Duke of Athens, to Hippolyta, Queen of the Amazons.

Synopsis of Featured Shakespeare Play
Richard IIIAfter a long war between the royal family York and the royal family Lancaster, York
ends up winning. For winning the war, Edward IV rules England for a period of peace. The period of peace is soon ruined when Richard, Edward’s younger brother, plots the destruction of the king. Richard uses violence, deception and manipulation.
Richard tricks Lady Anne into marrying him. To get rid of his competition, he has his brother Clarence killed, but blames King Edward for the death. Edward becomes depressed and dies.
Richard is soon given the power of England. It is in his charge, but that is still not enough for him. He continues to deceive and kill people. After he rules for a while, the people are scared of Richard and want a new king. They want the Earl of Richmond, a Lancaster descendant, to take the place of King Edward. Back at the castle, Richard has his wife Queen Anne murdered so he can marry young Elizabeth, Edward’s daughter, to secure his place in the kingdom.
Meanwhile, the Duke of Richmond is getting ready to battle Richard. The night before the battle, Richard has a nightmare where all the ghosts of the people he killed haunt him and tell him he will die. The next day Richard dies in battle and the Earl of Richmond is crowned king.
