What’s Happening Now: Teen Substance Use Trends

B. By the end of 8th grade 19% of kids have tried an illicit drug and 38% have tried alcohol.

B. 80% of High School students and 44% of Middle School students saw peers using or selling drugs/alcohol on school grounds.

C. Drug use TRIPLES between 6th to 8th grade.
