BANG! BOOM! CRASH!

Cody feels frustrated. He can’t seem to get it.

Menka suggests that Cody pick one instrument to practice.

Cody says he has always wanted to play the drums.

8

BANG! BOOM! CRASH!

After awhile, Cody buries his face in his hands. He feels frustrated because he can’t seem to get it.

9

“Why don’t you pick one instrument and stick with it? You’re not going to learn how to play a new instrument by trying it for only five minutes,” suggests Menka.

“I’ve always wanted to play the drums,” Cody says.

8

Cody sits behind Brady’s drum set. BANG! BOOM! CRASH!

After awhile, Cody buries his face in his hands. “I can’t get it … I give up! Maybe I’m just not meant to be a rock star. Brady’s naturally good at music, and I’ll never be like him.”

14

Brady perked up. He pointed his

wing toward the stage, which was

filled with instruments. “Take your

pick!” he said.

Cody picked up an electric guitar

from the stage and tried to strum it.

BRRRR-AAAANG!

15

“Um, you’re holding it upside

down,” Menka said gently.

Cody grinned, “That’s okay, I’m

more of a trumpet guy anyway.”

He picked up a trumpet and

blew until he was red in the face, but

no sound came out.
