Stay with those Who CareBeginning in a humble setting, with just seven rooms for seven patients in 1999, the Foundation just

completed its 20th year in operation and has served over 20,000 patients and caregivers. Now located in a new modern village setting, HIHH now boasts capacity for 24 patients and caregivers in four

housing units (casitas). Each unit is approximately 5,000 square feet with six private bedrooms and bathrooms. The home-inspired design provides each casita with a large kitchen, private pantries, a

large dining room, a living room, a library, a covered veranda, and a laundry room.

Mission & InfoHelp In Healing Home provides a high-quality, affordable lodging opportunity for patients undergoing

life-threatening surgeries and treatments. Perhaps, a patient recuperating from whole organ, stem cell or bone marrow transplant or a patient undergoing extensive cancer treatment. These patients, along with their caregiver often feel isolated and overwhelmed. They are often faced with enormous medical bills and the cost of hotel housing presents an insurmountable hurdle financially and only adds to an already

heightened stress level. At HIHH guests experience empathy and support, thanks to the inspired home-like atmosphere and the friendships gained with their neighbors. Thanks to the support of our donors, the guests experience this

positive support while they are saving hundreds, and even thousands of dollars, as opposed to alternative housing options. The feelings of loneliness and isolation are quickly dispelled as they are embraced by new friends who can easily experience compassion while sharing similar experiences on their own road

back to good health. Each patient and caregiver have the security and comfort of their own peaceful, private bedroom and bathroom while still enjoying the feeling of community as they enjoy visiting with

their neighbors or attending volunteer sponsored events in the Brusally Community Center.
