DESCRIPTION
Helping Children Worldwide's Mission is to transform the lives of impoverished children through partners and programs of excellence. With the incredible level of support that has already saved so many young lives, HCW hopes to reach out and save more suffering children all over the world. Currently HCW has African Programs (Child Rescue Centre and Mercy Hospital) and a Local Program (Connections for Hope).

AFRICAN PROGRAMS, SIERRA LEONE
Child Rescue Centre Started with 40 children in 2000
The CRC develops and transforms poverty-stricken and war-affected children into adults who become strong leaders in their homes, their
communities, and their country of Sierra Leone. • Currently 70 in residential program, 150 in child support program, and 24 in foster care program• 8 youth went to college this year, joining the 13 other student that are currently in university or vocational training programs
DEVELOPING STRONG LEADERS IN SIERRA LEONE
76% of the population live below the poverty line of $2 per day
80% of the population does not have a high school education
AFRICAN PROGRAMS, SIERRA LEONE
Mercy Hospital Established October, 2007 25 bed primary care facility, serves 900 patients a
month Providing the best quality medical care to Bo, Sierra
Leone and the surrounding communities, regardless of ability to pay
Clinical and Community Based Programs: •HIV/AIDS•Malaria•Mobile Prenatal Outreach Care•Nutrition•Tuberculosis (TB)
