Paid Time Off (PTO) Reminder Employees who are close to, or over, 200 hours of PTO are encouraged to use it or lose it. Starting January 1, 2017, employees will be limited to accruing 200 hours of PTO. Amounts over 200 hours will be forfeited at that time. Don’t burn yourself out, use your PTO to get recharged. It’s suggested to use your PTO in a block of time, a week or two, in order to fully increase your energy level.
Earn more $$ through the Accountability Policy SpecSys manufacturing employees have the ability to earn more money per hour. In addition to your annual performance review, you can earn more money by working your way up on the Accountability Checklist. Preventative Care Benefits Preventative Care is covered by most health insurance plans so you don’t end up paying out of pocket for these types of visits. A preventative visit is different than an office visit. Preventative visits, also known as routine checkups or wellness visits, are regularly occurring appointments to check the status of your overall health and to watch for any possible concerns. The exam is 100% covered if you use an in-network provider.
The purpose of an office visit is to treat a specific medical issue and is covered based on your plan’s summary of benefits.
In order for your appointment to be billed correctly:
1. Use an in-network provider 2. Schedule your appointment as a “routine
preventative exam” or “annual physical.” 3. When you check in for your appointment, tell them
you are having a routine preventative exam. 4. Call the number on the back of your member ID
card to ensure your exam is considered preventative.
5. If your doctor feels your visit was primarily for a medical issue, your bill may be coded as an office visit instead of a preventative visit.

Save $$ by using Generic Medications Would you prefer spending $5.00 for a 30-day supply of medication instead of $370.00? By using generic medications, you spend a fraction of the cost over brand name medications. The generic version is safe to use, has the same active ingredients, strength, and quality and are approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Why is it so much cheaper? The brand name drug companies spend a ton of money on advertising, marketing and promotion that generic brand companies don’t spend money on. $254 billion is saved each year by using generic medications. Jump on the bandwagon and save money by asking your doctor if you can use the generic brand of your medication.
