October’s Theme is Love!
“For God so loved the world that he gave
his one and only son so that whoever
believes in him shall not perish but have
eternal life”
John 3:16In GBI Kids this month, our theme is love;
the first attribute listed as a Fruit of the
Spirit!
Obviously, since love is listed first in
Galatians 5:22, God considers it important!
In fact, when you think about it, you can’t
exhibit any other Fruit of the Spirit unless
you know love!
Be looking for opportunities to help your
child show love to others, both at home and
in the world around them.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7 sums it up:
Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice
about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith,
is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.
Jesus said, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must
love one another. By this everyone will know
that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” John 13:34-35
Hand-n-Hand Fundraiser
begins this month! Help the GEMS
Girls raise money to help complete
the Esther School for Orphans and
Underprivileged Children in Zambia,
Africa. They will be offering for sale
cookie, soup, and pretzel mixes. Stop
by their table after the services
October 8th & 9th 15th & 16th.

All Children’s GBI Classes
Pre-K-8th grade are
participating but sign up is still
necessary. Sign ups are located outside
your child’s GBI classroom.
Rehearsals will be held at 1:30pm on the
Sundays to the right. The Dress
Rehearsal will be from 6-9pm
Pageant will be held on
Saturday, December 10th* at 7pm
We will join one another for dinner at
5pm!

Time to start getting your shoe boxes packed and ready to send to a child who needs to know the love of Jesus!School supplies, hygiene
items, socks, hats, gloves, stuffed animals, hard
candies...pack for a boy or girl and include $7 to ship
the box to your recipient. It’s really easy, fun and a great way to help your child show the love of Christ to another.
Collection week is Nov. 14-21st, but will be here
