Who is WRVS?Every day WRVS helps thousands of older people to stay independent in their own homes and to remain involved in their local communities.

We know that everyone is different so we don’t have a set list of services. Instead, the support we give is tailor made to each person’s individual needs which means for some it will be a lift to their local social club, for others it might be collecting a prescription or library book. Or maybe a little bit of company is all that is needed. Whatever the service it is always personal, practical and professional.

We also understand the worries that a stay in hospital can cause. So we have created a fully managed hospital support service to help people before, during and after a stay in hospital. All you have to do is ask.

All our drivers have been checked by the Criminal Records Bureau and they all carryidentification so you can be sure that they’re genuine. If you’ve got any worriesyou can call us for a security check.

All meals meet NACC standards nutritionally.

WRVS meals delivery serviceIf you find it hard to get out and about to do your shopping or to prepare a meal for yourself, we can help. WRVS can deliver hot or frozen meals, and now snacks, to your door. We pride ourselves on our personal caring service so it isn’t just a meal delivery, it’s a visit from a friend who will check that you are safe and well and that things are OK.

Tea serviceSometimes you may prefer a snack. So we have created a Tea service for those who may fancy something lighter in the afternoon. Included in this are salads, sandwiches, fruit and buns. These products will be delivered with your main meal at lunch time.

Paying for your meals and snacks couldn’t be simpler. Just choose the way that suits you best. You can pay:

•by direct debit, or•by invoice sent to you, or to someone who pays on your behalf.

Both are collected on a fortnightly basis.

Hot mealsWe deliver hot, healthy, tasty meals to your door as often as you would like, from once a day to once a week, 52 weeks of the year and there is plenty of choice. So if you are a curry connoisseur, passionate about pasta or silly about salads we have something to suit you. Likewise, if you have any special dietary needs, that’s no problem either. We offer a whole range of special menus including Halal, gluten-free and Kosher. Simply ask for details.

Frozen mealsOur frozen meals include main courses and desserts and we have a wide range of options to suit everyone. One of our helpful WRVS drivers will deliver your frozen meals to you on a regular day and will place them in your freezer ready for you to heat in a microwave or conventional oven. We deliver frozen meals fortnightly, with a minimum of five meals.
