environmental friendly epoxy molding compound (EMC). Formulated and enhanced existing products for advance IC packages

application and to attain new market demand. Explored and qualified new raw materials to improve EMC’s

performance as well as to reduce cost. Established a new process line to enhance pilot production of

environmental friendly EMC. Transferred pilot production product to mass production. Implemented new EMC characterization test methods to analyze EMC’s

Accomplishment Developed new generation green compound for advance packages

(especially for QFN application) with discovered new technology, which involved EMC formulation know-how and materials fusion in year 2006.

Co-worked with ASM to design QFN mold chase and lead frame as wellas successfully bought off an auto transfer-molding machine with full evaluation and qualification in year 2006 to support in-house EMC R&D work.

Successfully transferred pilot production products to mass production and oversaw the qualification process.

Established and developed extensive knowledge in environmental friendly flame retardant system for EMC, 2 patents were granted in year 2005.

Developed and commercialized a new “environmental friendly” and thermal enhanced EMC for IC packaging and awarded Outstanding Research in year 2002.

Rewarded as Gold QCC team in National Quality Circle Convention of year 2002 (Singapore).
