Helen Electricity Network, Helen, Fingrid and ABB in cooperation

develop and test future smart energy solutions to be

demonstrated at the redeveloping area of Kalasatama in Helsinki.

The target is to build a smart grid model area by combining cutting-edge

energy and information technologies and automation and to create a

low emission energy system with related services for sustainable future.

By 2030’s the Kalasatama area will offer jobs for 10 000 people and

homes for 18 000 citizens.
