The idea is that the documentation of this process and its outcome will be beneficial and useful to others attempting to improve their drawing and design skills.
Practice Led Honours Project
Practical Work: Capture and communicate emotions and mood through design.
My Honours Project
Examine the impact staging and lighting/ colour has in the creation of believable and atmospheric environments.
1. a) Evaluate existing media concerning staging and lighting/ colour to build up an atmosphere and emotions.
b) Conduct master studies.
2. Analyse films/animations/imagery in which design is enhanced through staging and lighting as case studies.
3. Design concepts in the same setting but under different circumstances to portray a different atmosphere and mood. Retain basic layout/story of the scene and experiment with staging and lighting to show how it influences the paintings impact and feeling.

4. Final product: A series of concept designs related to each other capturing and communicating a mood and atmosphere.
