History of this project• Charity was founded in 1991 as a consequence

of a donation campaign of the 1250-year anniversary of Heilbronn

• 600.000 Euro invested in well projects• 80 wells built so far• 2 well technicians trained• Networks with „Developent Office“ in Kumasi

for maintenance and selection of suitable sites

Water means health

Worldwide

• 884 million people are without access to clean drinking water• More than 2,6 billion people are without basic sanitary supply• 1,5 million children under 5 die due to diseases caused by bad

water and sanitary conditions• 443 million school days are lost

In 2010 the supply of drinking water was declared as a human right by the United Nations
