Deluxe high back, full-suspension seat (standard on the HDZ series and optional on the HDE/HDC series) with operator weight adjustment, flip up armrests, and seatbelt. Seat platform on isolators standard on the HDZ models. Seat platform isolator kit standard on non-suspension seat.

The tradition of innovation behind the Flex-Wing Model 315’s quick

cutting height adjustment has inspired the development of the rotary height adjustment (RHA)

feature on our ZT lines.

One of our first finishing mower series, the TM5 and TM6, is

introduced. The same technology that allowed the TM models to "float" over uneven terrain is used in our modern ZT lines.

The front-mounted 180ZT is launched. With a cutting width up to 60”, an 18HP engine, and dual

hydrostatic drives, the 180ZT was one of the first hydrostats sold in the riding lawn mower industry.

Our first line of garden tractors are released. These

tractors were the forerunner and pioneer of our modern

lawn mower line.

The ZT 1800 and 2200 are introduced. These front-mounted

mowers were designed for durability, ease-of-use, and maintenance.

The ZT 18, 22, and 25 front-mounted models are introduced. The focus on controls and maintenance featured

in these models is integral in our modern ZTs.

The Turf Champ (TC) line of ZT mowers is

launched. The durable steel and multiple cutting

widths introduced with the TC series are features that are still

used on our ZTs.

The M Series, our first mid-mounted ZT

mowers, are introduced. These were also our first mowers with a

pivoting front axle and a patented Quick Foot Adjustment™ system.
