Directions for use:

Withengineoffandcool,add1quart(946ml)ofLUBEGARD®HeavyDutycoolanttreatmentper8gallons(30.3L)ofcoolantwhenusedwitha50/50mix.Forstraightwatercoolant,add1quart(946ml)per4gallons(15.1L).Startengine,turnheatonhigh,andrunfor10minutestocirculatethroughtheentirecoolingsystem.Testcoolantevery3-6monthsusingLUBEGARD®HeavyDutyCoolantTreatmentteststripsandfollowdirectionstomaintainnitriteintherangeof1200-2400ppm.

How to use the LUBEGARD Heavy Duty Coolant Treatment test strips:

Safety Warning:Alwaysallowenginetocoolbeforeopeningradiatorcapfortesting,otherwiseseriousinjurycanoccur.

Test Procedure:Diponeteststripintocoolantsamplethatisbelow110°Ffor2seconds,remove,andshake.Holdstriplevelandmatchcolorasindicatedonteststrippackageforfreezepoint(padnearesthandle).After1minute,matchnitrite(endpad)color.

Results:Besuretomaintainnitriteintherangeof1200-2400ppm,with2000ppmbeingideal.Ifnitriteislessthan1200ppm,addLUBEGARDHDCOOLANTTREATMENTatthefulltreatrate.Ifnitriteis4000ppmorhigher,draintodilute,andrefillwithcoolant.Maintainfreezepointasweatherconditionsrequire.Tobeassuredofcompletefreezeprotection,50%-60%antifreezeisrecommended.(Note:LUBEGARDHeavyDutyCoolantTreatmentdoesNOTprovidefreezeprotection).
