Heat Trace Press Release: Joe Robinson Heat Trace is very proud to announce that one of our engineering apprentices, Joe Robinson has recently won two prestigious awards. They are; Most Improved Apprentice in the North West of England from the Institute of Mechanical Engineers and Apprentice of the Year from Mid-Cheshire FE College. The awards are recognition for the progress that Joe has made since commencing his apprenticeship in September 2012. Joe’s commitment to both his work and his qualifications has been exemplary and on every module he completes he is not satisfied unless he gets a distinction. Joe’s apprenticeship is in the equipment and facilities maintenance team. He has made a significant contribution to some recent equipment upgrades which will improve operational efficiency and most recently has taken a lead role in the development of a planned maintenance program that he is now starting to implement. Managing Director, Dan Berrisford, said “Joe has performed beyond our expectations in both his work and his studies. It’s great to have Joe at Heat Trace because he’s an upbeat character and people enjoy working with him. He’s very selfless and normally has a smile on his face which can give other people a lift – he’s had a really positive impact.” Recognition should also go to Dave Morgan, Joe’s line manager at Heat Trace and Keith Wylie, Joe’s tutor from Mid-Cheshire college who have both played crucial roles in Joe’s development. Joe’s awards further enhance the burgeoning reputation of Heat Trace’s apprenticeship program which uses a flexible approach to provide wide-ranging skills and development for apprentices across engineering, business administration and marketing. Joe Robinson receiving his ‘Apprentice of the year’ award from Mid-Cheshire college. Dave Morgan, Joe Robinson, Alan Speed (works engineering manager) & Keith Wylie.
