Actions taken by school as a result of the Healthy Lifestyles Questionnaire.

•Year 2 cricket tournament.

•2 new after school clubs this term – Amazing Brain and Cricket.

•The implementation of a new improved P.E scheme for all year groups.

•Rewriting of food policy, to include;

-more practical food handling/cooking in school.

-greater emphasis on children understanding and choosing a balanced meal at lunchtime, including the use of ‘balanced meal’ placemats for packed lunch and school dinner children.

-the continuation of school provided party food for religious celebrations, however, this is now all provided by our school cook to ensure safety of ingredients in terms of allergies and good nutritional value.

-the continuation of ‘birthday treats’, however, there is now a list of suggested, acceptable treats to aid parents when purchasing these items.

•More information for parents via the healthy living page on the school website!
