National Health Survey 7 proportion of people who are overweight or obese increased from 48.7 per cent (2004-05) to ,~].8 per cent in 2007-08 in the ACT

Contact to people outside of a household declined by 16.4 per cent between 2002 and 2006 in the ACT (vibrant?)

Greenhouse gas emissions increased by 1. 7 per cent since 2000 7 higher than the national average (0.7%) in the ACT

Our ecological footprint increased from 7.4 to 8.5 global hectares in the ACT

There is also a hidden productivity issue 7 people that aren't suffering from the epidemic are healthier and more productive in their work

¢2012 National Heart Foundation of AuWaia

Federal Government National Urban Design Protocol confirmed the gap for better guidance on Active Living on Site level

Developed locally informed by international best practice, the checklist contains a 'goodie pack' of valuable measures that are useful for everyone.

It contains a value statement that outlines the potential direct benefits.

The checklist has also been included in the work of the Green Star Council of Australia (Healthy Communities rating tool as an required indicator)
