• Understand the why, what will come• Train, get new skills, never stop learning• Emotional intelligence• Situational awareness• Embrace failures• Have mentors, choose them carefully!• Create an inner circle of confidants• Allow yourself to be vulnerable• Active listening• Listen to opposing viewpoints• People skills• Never forget why you went into medicine• Don’t be harsh on yourself
