International Patient Department

Establishing IPD means concentrating all related process including inpatient and outpatient services,

admission ,hospitalization and discharge to international in one department. Actually IPD establishment

shows the management commitment to rendering high quality services to international patients and

noticing their needs in/out of the hospital.

In this department , IPD administrator transfer the patients contacts and information received directly from

them or the facilitator to be referred to the related ward in hospital. These information would be reviewed

precisely for proper treatment process. All the presented services for international patient are out of routine

process and in VIP format.

During the patient stay , Long time translators are available to present services.

The nurse call buzzer is placed at the top of your head( by pressing, the nurse comes to your bedside).

In your room a bathroom-hand washing and disinfection solution with their consumption instruction

and a telephone for internal and external communication is embedded. Internal numbers and

instruction for how to communicate with people outside the hospital installed beside the phone in

your room.

Visiting hours: every day from 8 Am to 12 MD( As far as possible refrain from bringing children).

The time distribution of food: breakfast at 6 Am ,lunch at12:30 until13 ,dinner at 19:30 – snack for

normal patients at15pm and for diabetics at10,15,22.

There is internet access via WIFI in hospital if it is requested.

Emergency Department

Emergency department of Akbar Hospital is located on the ground floor of the

hospital entrance and it has 17 beds.

Patients receive the first initial cares and once they are stabilized by skillful triage

team, they are referred to the specialized wards.

Pediatric internal and surgical patients receive their initial treatments and care in

this ward.

Tow isolation rooms exist in our emergency ward for patients who need isolation.

A team of skilled professionals consist of pediatric nurses and pediatricians work

to getter in this ward.

IMAGING

The services available in the radiology department include all simple radiology and pediatric specialist radiology

such as contrast study(VCUG,IVP, UGI,TRANZIT,B.E, …),ultrasonography of abdominopelvic cavity, Doppler

ultrasonography ,ultrasound guided biopsy ,ultrasound guided hydrostatic reduction of irrigation, ultra sound

guided drainage, …. .

PHARMACY

The pharmacy is located on the ground floor of the hospital all the insurance policies and is active overnight and is

outsourced to the private sector.

Today we can say that one of the most important factors in determining the quality and quantity of health care

provided in hospitals is the quality of providing pharmaceutical services and Medical Equipment In many cases,

the lack of one or more medications or a mistake in taking medication in a hospital can threaten the treatment

of patients.

How to keep and use medications properly, manage the resources properly in the supply and Proper management

of resources in the provision and training of experienced human resources, systematization of documentation

(physical and electronic), and in particular the establishment of a well-regulated communication system

In this unit, which is on the first floor, the admitting and

discharge process of patients are done.

On the first floor and on the east side of the main building with modern equipment and active during the 24

hours of day.

SUBSPECIALIZED AND SPECIALIZED CLINICS

It is located on the first floor and on the east side of the main building

and includes various doctor’s room in many fields.

and has three pediatric endoscopy specialists and trained

nurses who perform several endoscopic procedures like

upper and lower GI endoscopy , esophageal dilatation …every

day with high tech equipment .

ENDOSCOPY OPERATING ROOM

This ward is located on the second floor of hospital and consisted of 7

operation rooms which each one operate independently and well equipped

with sate of art instruments.

Laparoscopic and minimal Invasive procedures and interventions are also

provided .

All type of congenital anomaly reconstructions, pediatric urology and pediatric

urology and pediatric neurosurgery procedures are provided and performed in

high skilled team work consist of neonatal and pediatric anesthetists, well

trained nursing and scrubs and academic specialist and surgeons.

Operation Theater

IC Department Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

This department is located on the second floor and we admit

critically ill child like children after surgery, with liver and

gastrointestinal, respiratory disorders, rheumatologic and

immunologic disease and some post traumatic cares.

This ward is well equipped with developed specialized

instruments like ventilators , different monitoring systems ,

animators , and patients are visited by multidisciplinary team

consist of pediatric intensivist , nutritionist, professional

nurses physiotherapist , pharmacologist, and other pediatric

subspecialists.

This ward is located in the second floor and children with rheumatology disorders like arthritis ( JLA,ARF,PSRA…),

connective tissue disorders (SLE,JDM, JPM, Scleroderma, …), vacuities (Henoch, Kawasaki,…), pain

amplification syndrome( growing pain, hypermobility syndrome,….)… are admitted .

There is a special team of pediatric nurses and rheumatologist working together with high level equipment like

cardiac monitoring , pulse oximetry , kid’s bed ,… and sub special interventions like BMA, joint injections ,…

are also well done by specialists.

palate, hypospadias, closed anus, hydrated cyst, UPJO…

This ward is located on the fourth floor of the hospital . This part is located on the fourth floor of the hospital. It has

13 active beds in one wing and 18 active beds in the other wing.

Includes common infectious diseases: pneumonia, meningitis, arteritis, septicemia, cellulitis, chicken pox…

Common diseases of the gastrointestinal tract are: liver failure, gastric bleeding, cholestasis, endoscopy,

colonoscopy, sputum insertion…
