WHY USE HEALTH MATTERS CORPORATE?Knowing about you and your staff’s health condition is one thing…doing something about it is quite another.Vast budgets are awarded to Health and Wellbeing within the corporate setting today with Health Screening and Testing available to most staff. But armed with an array of test results the individual is left to their own devices and can find today’s bombardment of advice bewildering and confusing leaving them doing little to help themselves improve on those results. At Health Matters we take a proactive approach to the individual and we above all things recognise that one size does not fit all in the health market. This guided 12 week programme is designed around each individual to create happy healthy and productive staff members… long term.

NUTRITIONCorrect nutrition is the foundation to health. We begin by taking a full medical history which includes any recent results from your current health care screening or provider. Important for our own analysis and nutritional plan is the IgG Blood Test (which is provided as standard but other tests can be offered where it is deemed appropriate) Whilst awaiting the results each client undergoes a detox programme before we design the nutritional plan which aims to maximise health benefits. A high dose Multi Vitamin and Mineral Supplement is a standard feature (but certain conditions can require further comprehensive therapeutic supplements) This part of the programme is designed to educate eradicate and enthuse about diet and nutrition, paving the way to long term health.

PHYSICAL CONDITIONINGUsing the findings from our earlier analysis and taking the time to measure everything from your percentage bodyfat to your maximum working cardiac output, our strength and conditioning coach will design a 12 week, 24 session bespoke programme to optimise results. We want you to achieve our goals and those you have set yourself. Your hour long sessions are under strict supervision to push and challenge you in new ways which help you to achieve your mapped out targets. You are often required to do homework too! Training is tailored to improve Cardio Vascular response, core strength, balance, posture, as well as alterations to the metabolic rate and the body’s biochemistry.

CHIROPRACTIC STRUCTURAL THERAPYChiropractic is a form of therapy concerned with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system and the effects of these disorders on the function of the nervous system and general health. With the emphasis being the use of manipulation and adjustment. During all this change the body will alter it’s structural configuration and be placed under stress as it adapts to the new demands being placed upon it. We work with functional human movement and these Chiropractic Structural Sessions will aid the body to make the physical changes which take place, address old injury and promote improved function.

DR EMMA GILLETT dc mcc mmca

Emma qualified in 1987, one of the youngest ever, from the McTimoney College of Chiropractic and has been in Private Practice to date. She uses the McTimoney Technique and has taken post graduate training in Cranio Sacral Therapy, through the Upledger Institute and combines this seamlessly with the manipulation to deliver a comprehensive treatment to her patients. She has a special interest in Nutrition which over the past 20 years she has combined with her structural work to further enhance her clients’ health. This she now recognises is a vital part of her treatment plan with each case. She has taught within the McTimoney College to third and fourth year undergraduates and she still remains fascinated by the scope of the chiropractic health care system.
