1 HEALTH INNOVATION - An Interdisciplinary Approach,5 cr Are you interested in learning about innovations and how your knowledge, skills and ideas can contribute to improvements and development of the health sector and citizens’ quality of life? Do you also want to be able to harness group creativity and improve the communication and transfer of knowledge in multidisciplinary teams? And do you want to expand your contact network and learn more about the innovation support systems? If so, participate in the course on Health Innovation this spring and at the same time join the Uppsala HoTPoT - Home of Talents, Power of Teams! The course targets students about to start their master thesis project, PhD students interested in a deeper understanding of societal implementation of research results as well as professionals who would like to obtain tools for developmental work in their own environment. All disciplines are welcome! The course will run once a week in late afternoons from February until May 2017, with lectures, seminars and group work. For MSc students, it will not impinge on your master thesis work, but should rather be regarded as a complement that may help you identify new aspects of your project and how your ideas and results can be implemented in society. Briefly, the course will be divided in three parts: The innovative group: interdisciplinary group dynamics, idea generation and solution-based creative thinking The innovative society: needs identifications, ethical and legal aspects of innovation and evaluation and implementation of new innovations The innovative organization: organisational structures (academy, health care, industries), health economy, innovation support, intellectual property and funding. Altogether, this will provide you with insight about innovative processes and how innovative thinking can be applied in projects in the health sector to improve economic performance and benefit the societal needs.
