For nearly 20 years missionaries Peter & Jill Mehl have pioneered churches, missionary training centers and drug rehab centers and raised up hundreds of evangelists in the former Soviet Union. The results have been nothing short of miraculous as the Kingdom visited earth with signs and wonders.

That is to Preach, Teach, Heal the Sick, Cleanse the Leper and Raise the Dead. This is the foundation of Christian ministry. It is a Gospel of power! Anything else is a neutered gospel. As Apostle Paul would say, “It is another gospel...”

This manuscript is a compilation of but a few of the hundreds of reports we receive each year. It contains healings, miracles, deliverances, visions, operations of the Gifts of the Spirit, angelic visitations and more.

In other words it is normal Christianity. It is the way every church that calls itself Christian should be acting. Jesus did not have a long list of things for us to do. He said to go and do the works that He did and that He would be with us. It is time to get back to the basics and be Red Hot for Jesus!

On February 1, 1993, my wife Jill, our three daughters Christina, Alicia, Satia, and myself had just left our life in America in search of our destiny in Christ on foreign soil – Moscow, Russia. Peter Tsaruk is the administrator of a church in Chaplinka, Ukraine plus pastors a church plant in a nearby village. He told this story to Peter Mehl during a recent crusade.

“I have never had opportunity to tell you this story before but it is because of you that I am serving Jesus. You see, twelve years ago when you were holding crusades in Crimea I came to one of your meetings.

I was a hopeless drunk, moreover, I walked with a cane, perpetually bent over with two large hernias on my spine. When I walked I could only look at the ground. I hated life. I had no hope. Then I was given one of your flyers about a healing meeting. At first I thought, ‘What is this garbage? People cannot be healed.’

After thinking about it I figured there would be no harm to attend. After all, how could it get worse? I listened to the wonderful music and then the preaching. At first I just watched and listened as you prayed for people but then they began to testify of being healed. ‘Did he pay them off?’ I wondered.

‘This is either true or all these people are in some type of ugly scheme.’ I realized that it must be God. I went forward and you laid hands on me and cast out a spirit of infirmity and I was healed.

I was amazed and was so excited that I wanted to hear all about this Jesus that you preached. That night I gave my life to the Lord but have never had opportunity to tell you this story. Thank you so much but Peter, there is more to my story.

My brother came to the Lord too and he is the pastor of a church in Chaplinka and together we are pioneering new churches. You have sent teams to help us this year and more are scheduled to come again. I know that our partnership will result in hundreds coming to Christ.

I enjoy life so much. I am now 70 years old but with many more years left in me. I plan to live life to the fullest until Jesus comes for me.”

Hello, my name is Vladimir and I am 46 years old. My parents were both in the military so I was very familiar with regulations, moving often, and of course, communism. I wanted to become someone special when I grew up. I did not want to be ordinary. Once I saw some older youth standing around drinking beer and smoking. They noticed me and we began talking. I felt important. What they were doing had a romantic feel to it. Adulthood. Importance. This was the beginning of my downfall. I began to believe a lie.

Yes, I joined their ranks. Little did I know where this would lead. A few years later I was at a party and got into a fight. I ended up knifing a man and ended in prison. While there I did it again and was sentenced to 20 years. I should have woke up then to the seriousness of what I had done but I didn’t.

Eventually I lost my apartment, all my possessions, my parents died while I was in prison and were buried by strangers. The sad truth is I did not care. I had become hard.

When I finally got out of prison I had nothing. I was lost and just wanted to die. All that I could see in front of me was darkness. I began drinking heavily. I would beg for money to buy vodka. I slept on the streets, under bridges, in bushes, I was totally lost and wanted it to end. For some reason death evaded me and life became a living hell.

During a cold winter I had to have an emergency operation to remove my spleen. I was happy about it because I had a warm bed and food but unfortunately all good things come to an end. When I was let out I ended up back on the streets and my misery started again. I came to the conclusion that

there was no way out and accepted the fact that I would die in this condition and face what I knew was coming - ETERNAL HELL.

In March of 2008 I was approached by a group of young people. They treated me kindly. I was surprised at this for usually people would treat me like a mangy dog. They asked me to visit a special meeting they were having in three days. For the next three days it came to memory often, “I must go to that meeting.”

When I arrived I felt something different. Then I heard a beautiful message

about Jesus and knew that I had to respond and I did. I was born again that day! I felt so clean inside and began to cry like a baby. Pastor Igor took me home with him and cleaned me up and fed me. The church began to fast and pray for me. I was delivered from smoking, alcohol and oppression! One miracle remained to manifest. You see, I had tuberculoses. Holes in my lungs. Coughing blood. It was bad. The church began to pray and after hearing Peter Mehl’s message on faith, healing and miracles, I began to speak my healing as if it was accomplished.

Then a great miracle happened. I was miraculously healed from tuberculoses without any medical help. Six months later I had x-rays and they did not show any of the holes I used to have in my lungs.

This is how my new life started and how I found my new family. I am just sorry that it didn’t happen earlier in my life. I have graduated from the Russian Harvest Ministries Nezhin Rehab Center, found a job and I am so happy that the Lord found me!

Inna, an eight year old girl, was radically saved, baptized in the Holy Spirit and called of God in a resent crusade. “What a miracle” said Pastor Olga. “This girl was transformed by the power of God in one meeting and she will never be the same.”

“It is amazing” reported evangelist Zelfimyan. “This young girl was dramatically transformed by God right before our eyes.”

Inna gave her heart to Jesus in our recent Uzhnoya crusade and a few minutes later responded to the call to receive the baptism in the Holy Spirit. Her hand shot up immediately and she came forward for prayer. Peter Mehl gives this account: “She was so open and when I laid my hands on her she began to speak in tongues as tears flowed down her pink cheeks. Sobs of joy engulfed her and Heaven invaded her soul. I knew immediately that Inna was divinely called of God for a special End-Time task.” Right after her Spirit baptism Peter called people forward for healing and asked Inna to lay hands on them (See page 9). As they came forward they knelt before her. Inna cried. The people coming for prayer cried. Many in attendance also cried.

God was in the house and there was an atmosphere for healing. It was a night of miracles. We did not know the significance of the moment until the second night of the crusade.

On day two Inna walked in the door with a friend and said, “My friend also wants to talk in a heavenly language. Can you pray for her too?”

Inna was already operating in her calling as a healing evangelist. When the time was right I called people forward for the baptism in the Holy Spirit. Inna came forward with her friend and we both laid hands on her and she was filled and began to speak in other tongues. It was a

powerful moment. By the time we finished six more received the

baptism in the Holy Spirit.

Before we closed for the night several people came forward to testify of being healed when Inna laid hands on them the night before. When we looked to see where Inna was and could not find her we walked into a back room where she was leading a group of children in a prayer circle. They were all praying in tongues! She did it on her own. It was Book of Acts in action. It is normal Christianity.

Inna Encounters Normal Christianity!

Inna Saved!On the first night of the crusade, Inna, along with several others gave her life to Jesus and Heaven opened up to her. Something special erupted inside this little 8 year old. Tears flowed out of her like a river. The Spirit of God was heavy on her and you just wanted to be there. Destiny was coming to life in her heart and those with spiritual ears to hear knew eternity was at work in Inna’s spirit.

Normal Christianity can be best pictured in the Book of Acts when people were saved, baptized and then filled with the Holy Spirit in one setting. Then there is the case in Acts 19 when Paul asked the believers about being baptized in the Spirit and they did not even know about Him. Paul did not give them a book and tell them to go through a four week class. No! He laid hands on them and they received. That’s how it was in Uzhnoya. This is normal Christianity.

Inna Baptized in the Holy Spirit!No more than 30 minutes after Inna was saved she responded to the call to be baptized in the Holy Spirit. Immediately after Peter Mehl laid his hands on her she broke out in speaking with other tongues. It was glorious. Again she began to cry. It was not a hollow shriek. It was Heaven’s invasion into a hungry heart and for Inna, overwhelming. Too much for a human vessel to take in without a response.

Inna Immediately Praying for Others!There was no four year Bible school needed. No degree to be inferred by so-called Bible scholars bent-over and bowed from book learning. We just believe the Bible as it stands. Full of truth. 100% absolute truth, power and life.

Inna responded when asked and without debate. She was told, “Inna, lay hands on your friend and pray for her to be filled with the Holy Spirit.” Inna did and her friend received! “Inna, pray for people to he healed,” she did and they were healed!

God Uses 8 Year Old to Heal the Sick!

“I was not sick but just asked God to bless my life as Inna prayed for me. Peter said to us, ‘You ask God. Give a name to your need and I did.’ When I left the meeting that night a car began to slide on the ice and come towards me. I froze but when it was almost on me it was as if an unseen hand moved it over a meter and it passed me by. God saved my life last night!

“My knee was in terrible pain and I was having trouble walking. Then when Inna laid hands on me I felt something but the pain was still there. On the way home I suddenly realized that the pain was all gone.”

“I had a tumor on my breast and when Inna laid hands on me and prayed I felt heat. I did not even think of checking but when I returned home I checked and the tumor was gone. Thank you Jesus!”

“My shoulder was hurting badly. I could not raise my hand over my head. It was like this for a long time but now I can not only raise it over my head I can do it pain free.”

“I was not even going to come tonight. I felt terrible but then decided to come and believe for a miracle. I was not sure what kind of meeting it would be. I had heard of Peter Mehl but have never been in his meetings. Even then I wanted to leave because I was sick. Then when Peter said Inna had a gift in her life for healing I went forward and when she prayed in tongues over me all the sickness left.”

“I was not sick but when Inna laid hands on me I asked God to do a work in me, in my business. To give me boldness. The next morning a man came to my shop to get a haircut but said he only would give 20 grivni instead of 30. During the haircut I shared the Lord with him and he began to cry. He then repented right there in my chair. Then before he left he gave me the full amount, 30 Grivni.”

My name is Natasha and I am 44 years old. When I was five years old my mother walked away from us leaving me and my sister with my father. This led to us being raised mostly by our grandmother. She became mom and dad to us.

I married a good man or I should say a boy for we were both so young. Even so he was good to me. We had two children together and things were going fine until that tragic day when I received the news “Your husband is dead.”

I went into shock. I panicked. Soon I found myself living with different men to keep food on the table for my kids. This was the beginning of my misery. I began to hate myself for what I was doing and to ease the pain vodka flowed like a river into my mouth.

When my daughter was older she too began to drink and soon we were drinking together. My son could not handle what he was seeing and left us to our one true love - vodka. Then another tragedy hit. My daughter died. You would think that this would shake me into reality but it didn’t. I began to drink more hoping it would cover up the pain.

At that point I did not care. I wanted to die. Not even understanding what I was saying, in

desperation I began to cry out “God, kill me or save me.” Within a month I met someone on the street that began to tell me about hope only found in Jesus Christ. I listened to him and was soon

introduced to another believer. I realized something was different about them. There was life. Their testimonies gave me hope. I had to have what they had. I repented and asked Jesus to forgive me. That day I began a new life.

Within a month I was accepted into the RHM Woman’s Rehab Center near Priluki. Thank God for

this rehab center. It saved my life. During the year I was there I studied God’s Word, renewing my mind. My health was restored plus another miracle, the relationship with my son was also restored.

I was delivered from sin, adultery, alcohol, a foul mouth and so much more. When Jesus does a work it is a great one. I want to serve the Lord and bring the good news to people about my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Finally, I want to thank Peter and Jill Mehl for all they do in our country. I am fruit from their labor. Praise the Lord!

Missionary Evangelist Peter Mehl Leads These Precious Ukrainian’s to Jesus!

580 people gathered at the “Titan Auditorium” to hear the Gospel

It had been over ten years since we ministered in the “Titan.” The atmosphere was electric and after a brief television interview we were ready to tackle everything the devil would throw our way. God was with us and because of this we were confident. From the moment we opened our mouths to minister we knew there was going to be victory. It was especially evident after Ira gave a powerful rendition of “Almighty God” and everyone stood to their feet for a standing ovation. Not that she was so good, and she was, but because of the tangible anointing in the place. When the altar call was given 108 people, mainly youth, came to the platform to seal the covenant. They believed in their hearts and confessed with their mouths the truth of Jesus and what He did for them. What an honor to serve the living God. What a joy to see people rescued from an eternal Hell. We will never tire of witnessing the goodness of God.

Oxsana is her name and she too was called out of her seat through a word of knowledge. God was moving greatly in our midst this night. This was the first time we have been to this town and had never seen any of the people before. So when Oxsana was called out of her seat and given the word it was a confirmation from Heaven, for both her and everyone in the room that knew her. For this moment of time Heaven was looking only at her and it was evident.

The word was specific and not some general mumbo-jumbo. She began to cry burying her face in her hands. It was a special moment. A God kind of moment. A life changing moment. You see, Oxsana was an orphan, as we found out later, and the word

spoke to her loneliness and desire to be loved. God was healing a broken and lonely heart. Women left their seats to come and give Oxsana a hug and welcome her into the family. This young orphan was an orphan no more. She was now a child of the King. A new creation in Jesus. You see, Oxsana committed her life to Jesus and was filled with the Holy Spirit! It will be the most exciting and memorable Saturday of her life.

Peter lifts Oxsana’s head to tell her, “You do not have to look down any more. Lift your head high because you are a new person.” With this Oxsana revealed a big smile and said, “Thank you.”

As Peter spoke a word of knowledge to Oxsana she buried her face in her hands and began to cry.

Tears stream down Oxsana’s face as she pondered “How could God love me.” She later shared, “It is as if for a little while God was looking only at me and saying, ‘I love you.’”

Words of Knowledge, Healings & a Vision

Reporting on the Shampoli crusade Evangelist Kaaren Zelfimyan Shares: “The crusade in Shampoli was amazing. Getting there was even more amazing as a twenty mile trip down a dirt road took us two hours. Peter Mehl called it “The Road to Hell.” It was so bad that both vehicles were damaged getting there and the van almost had the drive shaft ripped out. When we arrived and began to minister, the power of God was evident. The treacherous travel was well worth what happened during ministry. First, although there were only 15 people there seven made decisions for Christ! Then, and this was so amazing, most were healed instantly. Peter moved in the word of knowledge very specifically and the people experienced the

reality of God for the first time. I too was surprised but as Peter always tells me ‘This is normal Christianity’”

Woman Healed and Cancels Doctor Appointment:

“I came tonight believing for a miracle. I was scheduled to see the doctor next week because of terrible rib pain that I have had for over two months. The pain would not leave and my body would not heal itself. Then I read about the crusade and decided to come because you advertised a healing night. Then when the preacher said he had a word of knowledge about someone with rib pain I thought, ‘could this be me?’ and then went forward for prayer. He laid his hand on me and I felt better but as I walked back to my seat the pain kept getting less. A few minutes later I realized that it was all gone and had to go forward to testify.”

A Heavenly Vision Reveals Invalid in Nearby ApartmentAs told by Kaaren Zelfimyan: “We were finished with the ministry time and ready to quit when Peter stopped and said, ‘I see a vision’ and went on to tell about a partially paralyzed man in a nearby apartment that needs to be prayed for and his healing will start a revival in the village. It was confirmed that night that there was such a man in the next building. This caused an immediate stir in the people because there are only 450 in the village. What are the chances of hitting the target on this one? It was obviously God. Even the pastor did not know about the man. The people knew that God was revealing secret things. It gave me Goosebumps because it was so real. We are waiting for the miracle to be reported and then the revival.”

After testifying to be pain-free this very happy woman praises the Lord and gives Him thanks for the wonderful work He did in her body. Her response: “No more pain. I am truly blessed.”

As told by Peter Mehl: After a terrible two hour drive with roads so bad that the whole team needed healing at the end, we experienced something better, an anointing that broke every demonic yoke and works of the devil. It was off the chart. In the small basement room rented for this new church plant the God of Heaven broke the silence in this tiny 450 person village. Like the shock of unexpected thunder at midnight God’s power filled the room and His gifts were evidenced. One after the other words of knowledge concerning specific sicknesses, pains and ailments came forth calling people out of their seats. One was instantly healed and then another and another. Legs grew out as others watched in amazement. Others testified of being instantly healed. This is normal Christianity and should be taking place in every church in

America.

Words of Knowledge Flow Like a River in Shampoli

Woman Healed of Knee Problem Becomes an Instant Evangelist in Shampoli

Coming down front with a lifelong limp that would require a miracle Peter Mehl asks the woman to sit and lift her legs. One was ¾ inch shorter than the other but as we took authority in Jesus name they grew to the same length. Now wide eyed and startled she stands to realized something has changed but still not totally healed. The next day she woke to realize she was completely healed and begins to walk through the village telling everyone she met, “Why weren’t you at the meeting last night? God was there and your need could have been met too.” She then called the pastor and told him all about her miracle. She was one excited person.

As the word was being given we could see the pastor and his wife shaking their heads in affirmation. “Yes,” they said, “that is her to a tee.” God has called her as a prayer warrior for the village of Shampoli. She opened her apartment after the meeting to feed our team and she told us that her son came to the Lord first and because she saw such a dramatic change in him she was curious. Her curiosity led her to the Bible and God spoke to her through His Word and she repented.

Pastor Elijah’s response to the crusade was, “I stand amazed. This is great breakthrough for us. We have been working the ground in the town for years but this really shattered the religious barriers. I really needed to be encouraged a while back and God gave me a dream. In the dream I saw help coming. I did not know how or by whom but it gave me confidence. Peter, it was you. Thank you so much for coming.” Our entire team was surprised at the whole attitude of the people in attendance. It was one of respect. Something we do not often see. The atmosphere in the hall made it easier for us to minister. We felt God there. It was electric and fun to work in. We all knew that God was about to do something big and He sure did. He was with us to perform His Word and Magnify the Name of Jesus...and it was! To see over 120 youth and some parents give their lives to Jesus was a special sight.

Man Finds Redemption on the Road of Loneliness

Sergie stands up a new man in Christ. His eyes are clear and he is no longer drunk. Wow! Peter gives him a prophetic word and Sergie takes it to heart.

Peter repeatedly calls the Kingdom to come into Sergie. At this he is crushed to the ground and begins to moan. Kaaren then tells him of his need of salvation. While in this position Kaaren leads Sergie to Jesus Christ. It was a tremendous sight to see.

Pete and Kaaren jump out of the car and begin praying for the man we found staggering down the dirt road. As Jill took some photos the rest of our team pulled up in the van and began to intercede for Sergie’s salvation.

His name is Sergie and we found him staggering down a lonely dirt road on the backside of nowhere while on our way to a village crusade. We were in the lead car and the rest of the team followed in a van. Kaaren and I both heard “Stop” so we pulled over to speak to the man but immediately we knew that this was a divine appointment. He told us that his name was Sergie. He was rugged looking, old before his time, sun burnt and looking like he had been beaten up recently. When we began to call on Heaven’s power he was crushed to the ground as is by a pile driver and in this position gave his life to Jesus. A few minutes later Sergie stood up sober and asked us, “Who was hitting me on the head? Someone was hitting me into the ground.” We told him that an angel from the Living God was getting his attention. As the rest of the team headed out in the van Jill, Kaaren and I jump back into the car and headed towards the crusade site. We were all praising the Lord that He gave us such an incredible opportunity to reach this man for Jesus. We were so excited that we could only rejoice in God’s goodness. Then isn’t this what it’s all about. It is not about numbers but people. This one lonely man looking for love and acceptance found it on a dirt road when servants of the Lord stopped and shared the Gospel. For Sergie, time stood still!

Testimony From the Men’s Rehab Center My name is Victor Kostenko and I am from a village in Kirovograd region of Ukraine. I am from a family that was used to hard work. My parents were intelligent and taught me to study hard too. I went to college and then into the army and was awarded honors for my service. After I was discharged I married my high school sweetheart, got a good paying job and had two daughters and we were a happy family.

Because I was considered a local hero for my accomplishments in the army I was often asked out after work for a drink. At first I refused but eventually I gave in. This is when everything began to change for me. Change for the worse. Six months later I was drinking heavily. Sometimes days on end then weeks at a time and then months without a break. My family was being torn apart and my life was a wreck. I was drinking, smoking, fighting with my wife and then lost my job. I finally left my village and ended up in Kiev. I was a bum living on the streets.

I found myself wandering the streets of Kiev with no money or documents, just the clothes on my back. I lived like an animal just to get some food. I was confused and could not come up with any idea of how to get out of my dilemma.

Then one day I met a man on the street who told me about a rehab center near Chernigov that he went to years before and was set free. It is the

me to the Living God and help me be set free. He even said that my family can be restored because God will perform miracles. I knew that death was at my doorstep and if I did nothing it would soon be over.

I contacted the leaders there and asked if I could come and meet with them and they agreed. Once there they talked to me about Jesus and His power to forgive, heal and restore. I knew that

I need help and I repented of my life of sin and received Jesus as Savior and Lord. I then began the journey of restoration. It has now been six months and I want to say that I am totally free of addictions: Hard drugs, alcohol, smoking, perversions, depression, suicidal thoughts and so much more. There is no turning back and I am going all out to walk the path of Jesus.

I have been in contact with my family and these relationships too are being restored and I look forward to seeing them and beginning a new life. If it were not for the divine appointment in Kiev I may be dead and in Hell. Can you imagine, I was walking the streets of a city of four million people and run into someone that came from a village of 50 people where they have the rehab center. God is into details. I want to thank all the leaders at the center for showing me love and leading me in the way of righteousness.

Jesus Rescues Sergie Klikov! My name is Sergie Klikov and I am 30 years old. I was born in Priluky and grew up in a good family. My parents have always treated me well; they taught me to do good. I was doing well in school and I had good reputation and sometimes I was even presented as a role model. As I grew older all the good in me began to change. I began skipping school, smoking, drinking and became irresponsible. I rejected the plea of my parents to stop. When I was 17 I began to take drugs. You know how it is, simple drugs at first thinking that you would never take the hard stuff. Soon, however, the light stuff was no longer interesting. I saw all my friends getting high by shooting up so I did too. Soon I was hooked. I tried to tell myself otherwise but I was an addict. Soon everything began to fall apart. My parents did not trust me and my mom was always crying. I had constant fights with my dad and I knew that they were ashamed of me. Work problems began and soon my friends began to leave me. For ten years I lived in a hell I could not get out of. I tried to get free but had no power to do it. Demons controlled me. They tormented me often, especially at night.

My health deteriorated and I could not even do simple tasks. I seldom slept and when I did I

never wanted to wake up. Drugs ruled my life. I was in a hell of my own making. No one to blame but me. One day I was at home in great pain, screaming for relief. My dad could not handle it anymore. He walked out of the house and found a church. He asked the pastor there to pray for him and me. My mom heard and began to attend the church with my dad and they began to pray for me. Then they sent a brother to me to share salvation. When he came he told about a rehab

center for men that an American couple started. I resisted for weeks even though this brother kept coming to me and finally I knew that I had to give up and repent. I did and then was accepted at the rehab center. I graduated from the RHM rehab center and am now back in Priluki totally free from drugs. God set me free and gave me another chance. My parents are happy and I welcome each day with joy and worship. Every morning I open my eyes and thank the Lord for saving me, healing me and delivering me. I am now trusting that all my old friends will also discover salvation in Jesus.

On the streets of Uzhnoya I attacked the demons inside this man and was relentless about it. No seeker sensitive message will ever set people free from demons. It is only as we boldly declare the name of Jesus and command demons to flee through Jesus name.

Report by Kaaren Zelfimyan: We really had a great time of reaching people for the Lord during the two days in Uzhnoya. What was wonderful for me was when some of the believers that we were training came to me to tell of their excitement: One said, “Kaaren, God used me to share Jesus to people on the street and to pray for their healing - and they were healed! I am so on fire for more. Thank you so much.” Another added: “I have never led anyone to Jesus before or prayed for them to be healed. This was my first time and I am ready for many more.” God gave us a miracle on the second night. When we arrived the sky was black so we gathered to pray and in fifteen minutes the clouds separated and the sky opened up above us. It was black all around us but sunny just in Uzhnoya! The result was that many more made decisions for Jesus Christ. God is on His Throne!

These young evangelists share one-on-one with the youth of Uzhnoya. The result was that over 60 came to the Lord through personal witnessing and several were healed!

Alex leads this group of kids to the Lord. We often did more than one altar call during the night events because people were walking by, coming and going. The crowd changed so we kept asking for hearts.

During an open air crusade a mother and her daughter introduced themselves to me and shared with me a story from the past. Here is their story: “Peter, we want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Ten years ago you did a crusade on the streets of our village and I brought my four year old daughter to you for prayer. She was suffering from continuous epileptic seizures.

We lived a nightmare and were desperate for a miracle. You advertised that there would be healing and miracles so we came expecting.

You showed so much compassion. We could tell that you cared. Then I heard you cast out the demon of epilepsy and my daughter saying “Something left me. I feel different.” She has never had another seizure since but there is more wonderful news. We are both saved because of you, Vika, my daughter is in the evangelism training you are having this week.”

Vika traveled with us for a week as we held daily evangelism training for 35 youth, afternoon street witnessing and praying for the sick and nightly crusades. Ten years earlier Vika was being tormented by epileptic seizures but the power in the name of Jesus set her free.

Now she is not only serving the Lord but becoming a witness for Him. Being trained to share her faith, lay hands on the sick and cast out demons. This is New Testament Christianity. This is normal for a true believer.

After Peter finishes his call for people to repent Kaaren leads them to the Lord and then encourages them in their decision. “This was a great victory here today” said Kaaren, “I have been here many times but never with a crowd this size or with this many responses. Praise God!”

Over 500 people gather in a small park area to see power feats but instead meet The God of All Power - Jesus Christ of Nazareth!

God Gave Great Victory in Faleshki! Our pre evangelism team arrived early to pass out flyers distributing over 1,000 of them. Our partnering church had put posters all over the town a week earlier. This is our practice. It is not a guarantee that people will come but it is something that has to be done. This time it produced great fruit as over 500 people gathered in the small park to see Peter Mehl bend metal bars in his teeth, roll up frying pans and break wrenches. Of course this is but a tool Peter uses for the main event: The preaching of the Cross. We step out in faith and do what we can do and God give the increase. The Holy Ghost was at work and when we gave the call to surrender to Jesus over 100 people responded! For over an hour after the crusade people remained to talk, not wanting to leave. Partnering church leaders distributed hundreds of informational packets as they talked, prayed for and ministered to people one-on-one. The worship team we partnered with from another town was in awe: “Peter, this is so exciting for us. Thank you for helping us launch out into evangelism.” (This team has now gone on to launch its own mobile evangelism team.)

157 Come to Christ in Tatarbunari

People crowd around Zhenya as he makes the appeal for people to repent and surrender to Jesus.

“This is my life” said Zhenya. “I want to do all that I can to reach people for Jesus because of what He did for me. He rescued me from Hell. How can I not share His Good News?” Zhenya is a man on a mission. When we asked him if he wanted to be personally discipled by Peter Mehl he jumped on board and has since turned into a preaching machine. Our focus of late is to raise up evangelists and then empower them for ministry and give them a platform to succeed. Tatarbunari was a crusade where Zhenya began to reveal potential. First, he has a genuine love for the lost. Second, he gives everything he has when he ministers. He leaves nothing on the table. Finally, his skills in giving altar calls are improving greatly. Peter spends a great deal of time mentoring Zhenya and the results are obvious. He ministers the Full Gospel with signs & wonders. “When Zhenya ministers to people he comes alive” said Peter. “I am proud of him. He is developing into a man of God that will bring many to the Lord. This past month he began holding crusades on his own and the results were awesome.”

Ministering to the new believers After the altar call our teams went to work one-on-one, answering questions and praying for the sick. The kids did not want to leave and we were there for another hour praying, encouraging and exchanging contact information. Even before we got back to home base in Odessa we received emails and calls. The local pastor has now raised up his own mobile team and is on a mission to start 10 new churches!

Shortly after this photo the grandmother of the boy on the left ran to him and took the New Testament from his hand and threw it to the ground. “We do not need this stuff,” she shouted, “We are orthodox.” How sad.

Dasha is the daughter of the pastor from our Ladan church plant in the Chernigov state. She traveled with us to Odessa for training. She returned home with a whole different outlook as to her potential. Together with 34 other young people she stepped out in faith and because of it many names were written in the Lamb’s Book of Life! Many more were healed and demons cast out right on the streets. We traveled to five different villages during our week of training.

“I want to be a missionary and reach many youth to Jesus. When Peter asked me if I wanted to come to Odessa I jumped at the chance. I just graduated from his leadership school in Chernigov but I want to go farther and do more for the Lord. Being part of reaching over 450 for Jesus during our week of training was awesome! It was amazing what I saw and what the Lord did through me. In one outreach in Tatarbunari I prayed for a girl on the street because she said that she had pains in her leg and right side. When I did the pain left, she was shocked and of course happy. So was I. Not that I was shocked that God could do it but that He did it through me right there on the street. For me it was a ‘Wow’ moment! As I talked to so many youth during the ministry times I realized even more the serious times in which we live. We must do all we can to reach people for Jesus before it is too late. We must not be timid but release the power of God.” Dasha has since been involved in several crusades and has reached many for the Master.

Police were helpless to stop 23 people from coming to Christ!

Police harassment did not produce its desired fruit as the crusade was not stopped and 23 youth walked forward and in a prayer of dedication gave their hearts to Jesus. “This just does not happen here”, said Pastor Misha. “For us this is a miracle! We have labored here for years but during this crusade God gave us breakthrough. People were saved, healed and by a miracle the police did not stop us.”

The warfare to hold this crusade was so intense that Pastor Misha had to travel 400 miles to Kiev’s National Religious Affairs Office to gain permission to hold the meetings. All local attempts failed. There are only three religious “Sects” as they call them allowed to hold meetings in the village Dom Kulturi (the former communist meeting hall). These are orthodox, muslim and satanists. Yes, you read it correctly, satanists are given precedent over Christians. Now you can understand why we face so much opposition in the villages we go to in Crimea. Here was the clincher for us. God was at work! The local law, which the police quoted, said we could not go into the hall. Even though the documents from Kiev said we could the police officers blocked the door. We simply set up right in front of them and they stood there and watched. They were thinking that they had the upper hand when in fact the Gospel message was blasted to every home in the village via our sound system. In the end God gave us the victory and He received the increase. The pastor and his leadership were excited. People were saved and the church grew. How can you top that?

Man Plants Church With A Box of Books, Tracts, Teaching Tape and New Testaments

“Let me tell you something fantastic,” said Pastor Edvard. This pastor went on to tell Jill and I an amazing story. This story gives testimony to the favor of God and also to the law of sowing and reaping. Here is Edvard’s story as he told it to us while we were in Feodocia region holding crusades: “You probably do not remember me but fourteen years ago I was in your Bible school in Zaporozia. I listened to you intently and hung on every word as to all the possibilities there are for those that believed God’s Word. I also remember helping with all the preparation you were doing making church planting kits: The Bibles, new Testaments, audio teachings, tracts, and much more that were boxed for distribution. At first I thought, ‘What is this all about? Why is Peter going to all this effort?’ It was not until I graduated that it made sense to me.

That was the time when the government took your buildings and you had great persecution

against you and had to move away. Well, I never forgot all that you imparted. When my wife and I finished school we took one of your church planting kits and made our way to Feodocia and began pioneering a church. It has now been fourteen years but the fruit of your life is that we have a great church in Feodocia. Now that we are connected again

we plan to join with you to start more new churches.”

Jill and I stand amazed at the goodness of God in how he watched over our students even when it seemed like the enemy had won. Edvard was not the only one who went out from that group of students to pioneer churches. We have been told that 35 churches were birthed as a result!

Vladimir Ishenko was a member of a local gang. His life revolved around alcohol, drugs and fights. Then one day his life was turned upside down after being hit in the head with a hammer three times during a gang brawl. “I always thought that when something like this would happen that it would be the other guy” said Ishenko. The report from the doctor was not good: “Your son has serious brain injury and we cannot even promise he will live.” Vladimir could not understand why all his relatives were coming to see him but found out later that they were told it may be the last time. He was at deaths door. Then he asked his mother to tell him the truth about his condition. “When I heard my mom tell me the news all my dreams faded before my eyes. I felt totally lost. Helpless. I began to ask myself questions. Serious questions but the main one was, ‘Will I go to Hell?’ Yes, was the answer. I knew that I was doomed to Hell but had no way to counter the terror in my heart. Then I remembered a past conversation where I was told that if I would truly repent God would forgive me. In desperation I asked my mom to bring me a New Testament and I began to read it. I then put it down and cried

out to God ‘Forgive me of all my sins and please heal me.’ I told the Lord that if He saved me I would serve Him with a whole heart. I meant it. My condition immediately began to improve and one week later the doctors did another set of x-rays - and did not find any cracks in my skull or signs of injury. It was a miracle. They told me to go home. I began to serve the Lord and now pastor a church and planting others. I also oversee a rehab center and a mobile evangelism team. There is no better life than to serve the Lord in a

soul winning ministry. Jesus did so much for me. How can I do any less than to serve Him with all my heart.”

Sveta, a once notorious drug dealer and eventual addict was saved, healed and became a radical Christian. She has been used by God to do what Sid Roth describes as Naturally Supernatural—She Raised The Dead! Sveta was reached for Jesus nine years ago by Russian Harvest missionary Volodya Ishenko and his team. She was on the verge of death, eaten away by disease. She had to be carried to our center on a stretcher. But God had great plans. Thirty days later, after intense prayer and intercession and constant reading of the Word, Sveta rose up from the bed of affliction healed by the power of God! She has since graduated from our women’s rehab center and leadership school and is part of the Priluki church leadership team. The Rest of the Story! (As told by Sveta) Several months ago I felt led of God to visit relatives in Kiev that I had never met. They were also believers so it was an opportunity to build a spiritual relationship. The family has six children, the youngest being just eighteen months old. Meeting them for the first time was eased greatly because we are all believers and we were having a great time together. One morning after everyone left except for me, Tanya decided to give her baby a bath. She strapped her baby, Karina, into a special baby bath and turned on the water. When the tub was full Tanya turned to leave but accidentally turned on the faucet to the shower handle as she left the bathroom. (The water hook-ups in Ukraine are different than ours and it’s easy to turn the wrong knob.) She instructed her son to watch the baby.

I left to the store and returned in twenty minutes. Tanya and I talked for several minutes when all of a sudden Tanya jumped up and said “Oh, I forgot to check on Karina.” Shortly after I heard a

deafening scream and I ran to the bathroom to find Tanya holding Karina upside down trying to get water out of her lungs. I grabbed the baby and began CPR as Tanya called the ambulance but she was in shock and could not even dial the phone. My efforts at trying to resuscitate the baby did nothing. It was then that I dropped to my knees and

screamed out “NO, I don’t receive this! JESUS, HELP!” My heart was pounding and my body shaking. Looking at this little dead body was shocking...it was paralyzing…But I mustard up all the faith that was in me cried out to GOD! “God, save this child in Jesus name.” It was after this that I turned to see Karina’s head turn to the side as if unseen hands were at work and water started coming out from her lungs. Karina then opened her eyes and took the first breath, then another, and another. Both me and Tanya were shaking but not from fear—from the fact that God was at work in that room and we had just witnessed a miracle. It was overwhelming. Karina came back to life! It was an amazing miracle.

Woman Tormented By Demons Set Free By the Power of the Blood of the Lamb!

Her name is Natasha and although not even thirty years old she has lived a life of pain that many could not fit into sixty years. She sat at a distance during the crusade meeting with some of her friends. Natasha’s curiosity turned into intense listening. Her friends began to notice and started to mock her. Then when she stood to come

forward in response to the altar call her once heart-knit friends mocked her all the more. But nothing seemed to deter this woman from coming to God. We could hear her friends shout “Why are you doing this? You don’t need God. Are you stupid?” After she repented she came to Galia, the team leader, and told her life story. She told of a time in her life when she was in a car accident and the driver died bleeding to death with his head on her lap. Natasha lost an eye in the accident and broke many bones and had other internal injuries. The torment of nightmares began shortly after. When she married her hopes were to forget the nightmare and when she became pregnant with a boy she believed her deliverance had finally come. Unfortunately, she lost the child in a miscarriage and her life took a turn for the worse with her marriage ending in divorce and thoughts of suicide began to torment her daily. She carved the name she had chosen for her baby on her arm with a knife. Only the hand of God was keeping her alive. Then one day she saw a poster of our upcoming meetings that said “Freedom from Fear.” For the first time in years she had a glimmer of hope invade her soul and she set her face like flint

towards the opening day of our crusade. That’s when she heard the Gospel for the first time and the power of the Holy Spirit to deliver and set people free. In the shadow of her tormentor and in the face of rebellious friends Natasha stood firm and came to Jesus on His terms. While too many preachers rewrite and recompose the terms of the Cross to appease men we at Russian Harvest Ministries do not. Jesus wrote His own terms in His own blood on that fateful day 2,000 years ago and we dare not change His Word. Let me end here with God’s own Word concerning this matter.

“And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely...For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:...And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.” (KJV)

Going against the laws of Ukraine in areas of freedom of religion, freedom of speech, and freedom to rent facilities for use by legally registered churches, the orthodox church continues to break laws and incite anger. Two weeks before a scheduled crusade in the village Irzhavec, pastor Vitya was told that approval for renting the local Dom Kulturi would be forthcoming. Then one week before the crusade he was informed that the local priest had formed a protest and the village administrator was afraid to rent us the hall. When we were refused rental of the Dom Kulturi b u i l d i n g w e decided to do the crusade outside and w e l e t t h e administration know about it. We even t a l k e d t o s o m e people who live in the village’s center asking if we could plug into their electricity and they gave us the approval. We talked to many people and they all were positive about us coming and they promised to come to the crusade. We went to the administrator again and saw her talking to the priests wife. They tried to convince us that we have absolutely no right to do anything in their village. We asked them to show us the law of Ukraine that says that but they couldn’t. Why? There is no such law. In step with their cowardly nature they began to shout and incite others to join in. Upon arriving at the village the following day we were met by an angry mob and a road block as the priests minivan blocked the road. They were all screaming for us to leave. The priest was shouting

out prayers to Mary “Protect us blessed virgin.” One grandma shoved an icon into the face of one of our team members and shouted “Kiss the icon of the blessed Mary.” The atmosphere was intense and close to turning into a riot. The driver of the car Vitya rented was in shock. The team wiped the dust from their shoes and headed for the next village where they set up

the sound system in the market and began singing to draw a crowd. The village administrator was there too and was not against us being there—that is until s h e r e c e i v e d a phone call from the priest. That’s when she demanded that we leave. She went from kind to very r u d e w i t h o n e phone call from

the local Pharisee of the orthodox church. Many people came to us

telling us that the local priest rules the village. Actually, we did a crusade here last year with positive results. These people said that many were saved, stopped drinking and are reading their Bibles but the priest put fear into them and ordered them “Do not be part of that Christian cult.” If it’s being a cult to preach Jesus as the only way to salvation, the one and only True and Living God, Savior, Lord and King and that He saves, heals and delivers—then we are guilty. Let the stones fly! Pastor Vitya said “Praise God that we were honored to preach the Gospel of the Kingdom and be persecuted for the name of Jesus. But we are not going to stop!”

As told by Svetlana: “My life was like most people, routine: home, work, eat, sleep, work… On holidays I entertained myself with alcohol which usually ended the same—fights with my husband and in the morning h e a d a c h e s a n d nausea. I hated myself for it but I was in a trap. It was a terrible circle of life. I w a s d r a w n t o rel igion. I had icons, lit candles, had prayer books but I never found hope, peace or freedom in any of these things. I did have respect for believers because I saw someth ing in them that I never had. My marriage was so bad that we both thought that someone must have put a curse on us. So we came to the conclusion that if someone put a curse on us then someone can take it off. So we went to a “special grandma” as we call them — actually a witch. ‘Can you imagine, we went to a witch for help.’ She told us that we had to come to her three times and perform some prescribed rituals. Of course we paid every time. We did everything she said and at first it was better but then it changed for the worse. Andrei, my husband, came down with tuberculosis, was hospitalized for a long time, lost weight...it was a nightmare for us. It took our money, time, health. Then a series of miracles began to unfold. While in the hospital an old friend, Sergie

Lebed, came to his room and gave him a book “The foundations of spiritual growth” from Russian Harvest Ministries. Sergie began telling Andrei about Jesus and how He was the

answer. All Andrei could think was ‘This guy used to d r i n k a n d t a k e d r u g s w i t h m e , ‘ w h a t h a s happened to him? I often talked to A n d r e i o n t h e phone during his hospital stay and s ta r t ed no t ic ing some changes in h i s v o i c e . H e b e c a m e m o r e joy fu l . He a l so s t a r t e d u s i n g quotes f rom the Bib le . When my

husband came home he was always reading the Bible and quoting scripture. He would follow me from room–to-room reading from the Bible. I thought I would go insane. Then he began saying “We need to repent. If not then we will go straight to Hell.” Then one day he shouts out, ‘Look there is a sign in big bold blue letters that reads “Salvation Church” across the street from of our apartment. I looked and told him that there was no sign. He kept saying “I saw it there and so there must be a church in that building.” The next day he comes home happy and says that he found “Salvation Church” in the building he was talking about.

I couldn’t believe that he actually went to find it! He started going to the services. Every time he would come home he was all joyful with fire in his eyes.

My husband became totally focused on this Jesus he had found. We would be walking on the street and all of a sudden he would stop and shout to everyone in the area “Hello people, you need to repent and get right with Jesus.” I was so embarrassed. What had happened to my husband? He was always talking about Jesus and inviting people to church.

We were invited to the pastors house but I decided in my heart to say “no” if they ask me to repent. They did ask but I could not refuse Jesus any longer. That night I was saved! On the way home I felt so light and almost dizzy! When we got home the first thing I did was grab the Bible and I started reading it out loud. I wanted to know all about my new faith, salvation, and God’s Word. When I came to Matthew chapter 11, I fell asleep. The next morning I went to the drug store for work. Everything was different! I had so much strength and was in a great mood. Before when I had free time I played games on my cell phone but now I started

cleaning all the shelves, doing the paper work and so on. God gave me a new love for my husband and a desire to serve him. God has delivered us from drugs, alcohol, smoking and so much more. Andrei and Sveta graduated from our leadership institute and immediately set out to pioneer a church equipped with only a guitar and faith. They are a couple with one vision and in total agreement. They are now working on a second village church with plans for a third.

A supernatural sign from Heaven led Andrei to a local church where he was saved. He has now ded ica ted h i s l i f e to b r ing the supernatural to villages in his nation. “This is our life now” says Andrei. “We will follow Jesus and obey His word to bring the Gospel to the end of the earth.”

Natasha came to Christ at the age of 14 while living in Moscow, Russia. As with all young Russians at that time she was being indoctrinated to be a Communist. She was receiving all the Lenin style propaganda and moving through the different levels towards being a full fledged communist. Internally she did not like it but that’s the way it was under that type of regime.

Her conversion to Christ at the age of fourteen was dramatic as she dedicated herself completely to the Lord. Shortly after, however, she noticed that she was having heavenly downloads of English as she listened to the English speaking preacher leading the church she was attending. At first she fought it because it was irritating.

“I was dreaming in English and it was frustrating,” said Natasha. “Then I realized that there must be a purpose in it, a way to serve God. I therefore just let it happen and in two months I was fluent.

Then one day I saw Peter Mehl with an interpreter preaching on a street corner. I saw people being saved, healed and even baptized in the Holy Spirit right on the street. Then I knew and asked God to let me be part of what Peter was doing. My first big chance came in July 1993 during Peter’s first

church plant in Odess, Ukraine. I traveled with him and a team and was part of an

outreach that saw over 2,000 people make decisions for Christ. I have been with him and Jill now for 18 years.”

This crusade was the first step that would direct her destiny! She actually became one of the family as the Mehl’s discipled her in the faith.

For over eighteen years now Natasha has served in our ministry as interpreter, treasurer and ministry director.

She has been instrumental in the

pioneering of churches throughout Ukraine, the Russian Far East, China and has personally witnessed thousands come to Christ.

This has come at a cost. Natasha left home, family and friends to serve Christ as a missionary to Ukraine. She has faced rape attempts, KGB interrogations, Mafia harassment and much more as she pursued her destiny in God.

She was with us when we were shut down by military police clad with machine guns. She was with Peter when he had to escape Ukraine and enter Russia on foot.

She is totally dedicated to the cause of Christ and is in the fight until the end.

Prayer of Salvation

If you have read this book and do not know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, He will forgive you of all your sins if you repent, ask Him into your heart and make a covenant to turn from sin and live a righteous life with Christ. If you do, He will save you and make you clean. Pray this prayer: God, I know that without Jesus I'm lost. Without Jesus in my life, I'll die and go straight to Hell because I am guilty, but God, I do not want to be lost. I do not want to die and go to Hell. I want to be saved. I want to go to Heaven. I repent of my sins and turn away from my old life and I turn to you, Jesus. Save me and be the Lord of my life. Come into my heart, Lord Jesus. Save me and fill me with Your Holy Spirit. I believe that You are the Son of God. I believe that you died for me and that God raised you from the dead. By faith, I will trust in You alone as my Savior. I will live my life for You. Amen.

My passion for the lost is minimal. Forgive me, Lord, I repent. Help me to lose my life that I might gain it again. I forsake all, I deny myself, and I choose to pick up my cross and carry it daily.
