I. Quotations are hereby invited by the Chief Engineer (P) Rohtang Tunnel, Clo 56 AP'O for the iterns mentioned below:-

2. You are required to note and comply with the follow~ng conditionslstipular~~ns while rurn~shing your quotations:-

(a) If you are on rate contract with DGS&D for any of items mentioned in our enquiry, you are required to submit a certificate to the effect that prices quoted against these items (for which the rate contract exists) are the same as offered against DGS&D RC. A copy of the current RC should be attached. (b) The sample accompanying your quotation ~f any shall be of same specification as asked in the schedule. This sample should bear identification mark showing your firm's No. Reference & no of our quotation indicated in Para 2 above.

(c) The quantities mentioned in the schedule are only approximate and do not const~tute any guarantee regarding the actual reqcrlrernent for which the supply order may be placed.

(d) CE (P) Rohtang Tunnel reserves the right to reject any or all the quotations either in part or ~n full. I (e) Items for which supply order placed will have to be suppl~ed within 30 days from the date of issue of supply order.

( f ) Stores should be supplied strictly as per specif~cation and approved sample supplied by you, whch w~l l be kept in the office of our inspecting Officer. Sub standard stores supplied will be rejected & no payment what so ever will be made for $uch stores. You shall remove the rejected stores, if any from the premises of QM, HQ CE (P) Rohtang Tunnel within 30 days of receipt of intimation to this effect, failing which you shall have no claim on this account.

(g) The amount of taxNat mentioned if any by the supplier in the quotes is to be deposited with the Sales tax department concerned. The supplier will be solely respons~ble for the payment of such taxes and this project will not be respons~ble for any anomalies of tax deduct~on at later stage

(h) Any attempt on your part to submit freak rates for quotation may render your quotation invalid.

(1) Payment for items will be made by NEFT generally within 30 days of satisfactory completion of supply & submission of pre-receipted bill in tripl~cate. No alternative condition of payment will be accepted.

(j) Payment w~l l be made only on satisfactory supply of all the items ordered in a Supply order. No part payment will be made.

(k) The rates quoted shall be for supply of items at HQ CE (P) Rohtang Tunnel Solang Valley Manalr. The rate should include loading1 unloading, handling forwarding etc Excise dutylany other taxes ~f any be quoted separately.

(I) If stores mentioned In supply order are not supplied within the stipulated period a penalty varying between 0.5% to 5% per week on total cost will be levied for late supply. For genuine case the discretion of extension of t ~me will remain with the chief engineer for genuine case.

(ni) Test certificate from Govt. approved laboratory shall accompany the stores whenever specified. ( n ) Purchase voucher of items supplied shall be submitted by the supplier for processing the bill for payment.

SPECIFICATIONS 1. Wall Panel. The wall panels shall be 50 rpm thick made up of 49 mm thick polyurethane foam (PUF) as insulation sandwiched between 0.5 mm thick grey colored Pre- Painted Galvanized lron (PPGI) sheets ( ribbed type for all panels, joint angles, tracks - design of ribbing shall be manufacturer's own). PUF used shall be CFC free and of density 40 kg +/- 2kglcum and shall conform to IS I2436119889 reaffirmed 2011.The wall PUF panel will be provided with tongue & groove arrangementlshall be interlocked using cam locks system. Gable ends will also be covered with same panels as of wall. All materials required for the manufacture of shelter will be new and shall comply with relevant Bureau of Indian Standards Specifications. The PUF insulation material in the panel will have fire retarding and self extinguishing properties as per international standard B2 DIN 410 2partlBS-4735 Self Ext. The wall panel at the corners will be joined by PPG.~ corner angle. The wall panels will also have PPGl top track. Since all the flashings are of PPGI no welding will be allowed. The PPGl angle and flashings are to be bended or/& riveted to form the desired shape and size. The iso-cyanide and polyol liquid components used for in-situ process of providing polyurethane foam insulation in the panels shall be supported by manufacturer test certificates correlating & indicating batch numbers, date of manufacture and expiry dates.

2. Roof. The roof shall be provided in two way slope (1:l) with 0.60 mm thick Pre-Painted Galvanized lron (PPGI) trapezoidal profile ,color coated sheet (olive greenIApproved colour) fixed on the frame work of trusses and purlins using STSD (Self Tapping Self Dri1ling)screws having suitable washers. The roof sheeting junction will be covered using 0.60 mm thick PPGl ridge covering of same colour. The roof will have a minimum projection of 400 mm from the eaves wall and 300 mm at the both ends.

3. False Ceilinq. False ceiling will be provided for the complete building interior and shall be made of 40 mm thick PUF Pannels. The panels will be made of 0.5 mm thick PPGl sheet on both side with 39 mm thick rigid CFC free polyurethane foam of density 40 Kg+/- 2KgICum as insulation sandwiched between them. The false ceiling panels will have tongue & groove arrangementlshall be interlocked using cam locks systems. Suitable framework made of MS angle 40x40~5 mm shall be used to fix the ceiling panel.

4. The PPGl sheets used shall conform to IS: 14246:2013. The sheets will have minimum 120gsm of zinc coating on both sides followed by a top coat of PVDEI silicon modified polyester having a thickness of 20 micron minimum and with back coat of alkaloid epoxy or polyester having thickness of 7 micron minimum. The top finished surface of PPGl sheet shall also have guard filmlprotection sheet (polyethy1ene)for protection against scratches during handling and transportation. The durability of paint coat shall correspondent to Class-I as per Table-I of IS:14246:2013

Structural Members

5 . The structural members shall be designed for the below given conditions : (a) Seismic - Zone V (b) Snow Load - I m standing on roof (c) Wind Speed - 55 mls (As per IS-875) (d) Temperature Range (-) 20 degree C to (+) 40 degree C. (e) Roof slope - 1 : I '.

6. The min requirement of various structural members are as under mentioned:.

(a) Truss. Ten trusses of span 36 ft, made of rectangular hollow steel sections of rnin size 96 mm x 48mm, 3.2 mm conforming to IS 4923:1997 with a slope of 1: l shall be provided. Base plate welded to the truss on either side of rnin size 150mmx150mm, 10 mm thick with 04 pre drilled holes of appropriate sizes to accommodate heavy duty black bolts of appropriate dimensions with nuts with GI Washer with each truss.

(b) Purlins. Purlins made of rectangular hollow steel sections of min size 66 mm x 33 mm, 2.9 mm thick weighing not less than 4.75 Kglm conforming to IS 4923:1997 alongwith 02 Nos cleats of MS sheet of rnin size 66mmx150mm, 5 mm thick continuously welded on both ends of the Purlin duly drilled of 02 holes each of for bolts of appropriate dimensions for fixing of purlin with truss.

(c) Columns. Main Column shall be made of rnin section ISMB-150, conforming to IS 808(Part-1) of 1973 , both ends welded with MS plate rnin size 200x200x10mm at top end and min size 300x300x10 mm at bottom. MS plates shall have 04 Nos of holes of pre drilled for fixing with truss using fasteners of appropriate size.(Weight of ISMB not less than IS.OKg/RM.(Clear height of the room from finished floor surface to ceiling shall not be less than 6.10 m). Foundation bolt shall be of rnin dia 20 mm and length 45 cm.

(d) Tie Beams and Bracinas. Tie beams at a height of 3.05 m from finished floor level all around the structure be provided. Min size of channel used shall be MC 150~75~5 .7 mm weighing not less than 16.8 Kglm and conforming to relevant BIS standards. It shall be connected to the ISMB 150 with 02 x MS cleats min size 66x 150 x 5 mm continuously welded on both ends with nuts and bolts of requisite size.

(d) Eaves Connector. Eaves connector 400 mm long made of rectangular hollow steel section of min size 66mrn~32mrn~2.9 mm thick weight not less than 4.75 KgIM conforming to Is :4923:1997 alongwith base plate of min. size 66mmx150mmx5,, for fixing with Purlinlgable end.

Doors Windows and Ventilators

7. -. Aluminium PUF 'Doors with shutter of size 1000x2050mm will be provided in each shelter. Doorframe will be made up of suitable aluminium profile sections. Main shutter will be of PUF panel fixed with aluminium lipping all round side. PUF panel shall be made of 0.5 mm thick(TMT) PPGl steel ribbed sheet (pattern of ribs can be of manufacturers design) cladding on both sides with a layer of rigid CFC free polyurethane foam of density 40 kg+/-2kglcum as insulation in between. The thickness of PU foam layer in door panel shall be 49 mm. Total thickness of PUF panel in door will thus be 50mm . The door shall be fitted with following:

(a) 02x Stainless steel tower bolts of 200 mm long size and 01x Stainless steel bow handle 150mm from inside.

(b) 01x Stainless steel sliding bolt 300 mm long and Olx bow handle 150mm size in the outside .

8. ToileWChanninq Room Doors. 02x Aluminium flush Doors with shutter of size 75Ox2050mm will be provided. Door frame will be made up of suitable aluminium profile sections. Main shutter will be of PUF panel fixed with aluminium lipping all round on one side. PUF panel shall be made of 0.5 mm thick(TMT) PPGl steel ribbed sheet(pattern of ribs can be of manufacturers own design)cladding on both sides with a layer of rigid CFC free polyurethane foam of density 40 kg+/-2kglcum as insulation in between. The thickness of PU foam layer shall be 49mm. Total thickness of PUF panel will thus be 50mm . The door shall be fitted with following:

(a) 01 x Stainless steel tower bolt of 200 mm long size and 01x Stainless steel bow handle 150mm from inside.

(b) 01x Stainless steel sliding bolt 300 mm long and 01x bow handle 150mm size in the outside .

Windows.

(a) Three wav Sliding Window 995x 995 mm. 04x aluminium 3-way sliding windows of size 995x995 mm with all fitments will be provided. The window frame and window shutter will be manufactured using suitable Aluminium profile Sections. The window shutter will be of three leaves of which two shall be provided with glazing of 8mm thick multi wall polycarbonate sheet and one leaf will be provided, with fixed fly proofing using stainless steel mesh of 1.5mm aperture. All the shutters will have aluminium protective grills of appropriate design.

(b) Fixed Window 995x 995 mm. 01x aluminium fixed window of size 995x995 mm with all fitments will be provided. The window frame will be manufactured using suitable Aluminium profile Sections. The window shutter shall be provided with two layers glazing of 6mm thick each , polycarbonate sheet . It will have aluminium protective grills of appropriate design at the inside portion.

(c) Fixed Windows 1800x1200 mm. 04 x aluminium fixed windows of size 1800 x 1200 mm with all fjtments will be provided with two each on the longer side of the structure. These shall be placed centrally above the three way sliding windows at a distance of 2.4 m from the top end of the sliding window. The window frame will be manufactured using suitable Aluminium profile Sections. The window shutter shall be provided with two layers glazing of 6mm thick each, polycarbonate sheet .

10. Three way Sliding Ventilators. 02x Aluminium 3-way sliding ventilators of size 595x595 mm with all fitments shall be provided. The ventilator frame and ventilator shutter will be manufactured using suitable Aluminium profile Sections. The ventilator shutter will be of three leaves of which two shall be provided with glazing of 8mm thick polycarbonate sheet and one leaf will be provided with fixed fly proofing using stainless steel mesh of 1.5 mm aperture.

10. Sun Shade. Suitable sunshades made out of PPGl Sheets and angle iron frame of size 35x35x3mm will be provided to all external sliding windows, Ventilators and doors. The minimum projection for the sun shades will be 450mm and 300mm wider than the width of the opening.

11. Interiors. 25mm diameter mild steel powder colour coated fancy type drapery rod with fixing arrangements will be provided for all openings (doors and windows). The drapery rod should be minimum 450mm longer than width of the door and windows.

12. Tolerances. The length of members and overall dimensions shall have tolerances of +I- 25mm up to 3mtrs dimensions, +I-40mm on 3mtrs to 6mtrs dimensions and +I-50mm on 6mtrs and above dimensions. The panel thickness shall have +I-2mm tolerance. Other dimensions shall have a tolerance of +I-5%.

13. Finishes. All steel members will be given two coats of red oxide zinc chromate primer by the manufacturer in the factory premises before dispatch. The steel members shall then be painted with two coats of synthetic enamel paint of approved shade at site. Supply shall include all consumables for this purpose. All paint materials used shall be of reputed makes namely Jenson and NicholsonIBergerlAsian Paints1 ICI.

14. Fasteners and Fittings. Fasteners and fittings of mild steel shall be used unless and otherwise specified.

15. Exclusions. Flooring, Electrical wiring & fittings as well as plumbing and sanitary fittings have not been included in the scope of supply.
