PRESIDENT'S MESSAGEGreetings to one and all as we end another sweltering summer in thehome of the brave.

Here's a quick recap to our 35th annual session in San Francisco, if youwere unable to attend. We had some excellent clinical pearls with respect

to homeopathy, applied kinesiology, cranial-sacral work, and calciummetabolism during the Thursday workshops. On Friday and Saturday wewere treated to more brilliant information on communication/psychologyof selves, spiritual healing, and nutrition to round out the program. Thebanquet to celebrate our 35th anniversary was a great time for all whoattended. Please do check out the website for photos of the conference,if you were unable to attend or if you should just wish to re-live some ofthe memories.

We've already put most of next year's Washington DC meeting program together already, which

promises to be perhaps even better than the big success we had out in San Francisco. We've alsobegun preliminary planning for the 2014 meeting in Dallas. So if you haven't done so yet, get theupcoming 2013 annual session April 18,19 and 20th in Washington DC in your planners. You won'twant to miss it!

On the meat and potatoes front, more progress is being made to get more video information/ instructional pieces on the website from the past and from recent meetings as well. If you haven'tchecked out the website lately, spend a few minutes doing so, and also send a quick thank you toour executive director Roberta Glasser for her considerable time effort to make all the improvements. For all you Facebook users, please also go to the HDA Facebook page and "like" us, if you haven't

done so already, as it will continue to grow our Facebook visibility. While out in San Francisco I heard a number of new members ask for a hand in trying to make senseand sort out various aspects of holistic health care to add to their practice mix of services. I thoughtI would take a moment here to say that I/we heard all of you who asked for guidance, and we as anorganization have begun setting up a mentor program to assist those looking for help in any aspectsthey wish. We have had a good response to the email announcement of the program from thosewishing assistance and from those willing to mentor. This is a group of like-minded individuals whoshare information, and we are here to assist you. What good is information if it isn't shared? Othernew initiatives will be coming fairly soon as well, so stay tuned.

Please accept our best wishes for a great rest of the summer with your families, friends, andbusinesses. Make it a year to remember!

Best RegardsKevin Boehm DDSPresidentHolistic Dental Association
