    2010-2011

    Hampden DuBose Academy is a non-profit organization. We attempt to keep expenses

    as low as possible and consistent with the opportunities afforded the students. Chargespaid by the students do not cover the cost of all the services provided by the school. Theremainder is made up by gifts and endowments to the institution.

    A. Tuition Costs: Tuition is paid in full on a 10-month or a 12-month basis. Tuition isdue on the first school day of every month. A monthly late fee of $25/student will applyto past due accounts.

    Discount for each additional child: $150 off of annual tuition (K5 through 12th grade).

    There will be a 2% discount off tuition if paid in full by August 23, 2010.

    B. Enrollment Application Fee: A non-refundable $50 application fee is due for eachStudent at the time the application is submitted.

    C. Instructional Fee: A non-refundable instructional fee is due for each student byJune 1, 2010. The instructional fee is $200 for K-8

    th.

    Hardback and non-consumable soft back books are the property of the school. Theinstructional fee includes rental of these books. Students may keep all consumables.

    D. Entrance Testing Fee: A readiness test will be administered to all students enteringKindergarten. A search test will be a given to Kindergarten students during the first nineweeks of school. Each new student will need to be tested before admittance to HampdenDuBose Academy. A recent achievement test (taken last school year) may be provided aspart of the testing evaluation.

    E. Passing an Educational Legacy on to others: If you wish to help other families byproviding financial assistance, please notify the school office. An account can be set upthat allows you to help your friends children, your grandchildren, or others with

    financial assistance.

    F. Discovery Program NILD (National Insitute of Learning Disabilities): The NILDprogram is a separate program provided by the school as an intervention program forstudents in need and who qualify (including the McKay Scholarship). The cost for theNILD program is as follows:

    Total $4,470

    TEACH is the program offered for K5-2nd grade students needing intervention. The costfor TEACH is $1,850.00

    G. Tutorial Program: HDA has a list of teachers and other interested third party tutorswho can be recommended to families whose children need extra assistance in theirstudies. The fees are negotiated between the family and the tutor.

    H. After School Care (K8th): Program hours are MondayThursday 3:155:30pmand Friday 12:15-5:30pm.

    I. Scholarships Available: Childrens First is an income based scholarship available forreturning K5 and 1st grade as well as new students entering K5 and 1 st grade. Newstudents entering 2

    ndgrade through 12

    thgrade can apply if they attended a Florida public

    school for the entire 2009-2010 school year. There are also a limited number ofscholarships available through the school. Evaluation of need and amount ofscholarships given are determined on a case by case basis. Information is availablein the school office.
