1. Kidnap
Before lights out, an exclusive group of librarians will be brought out and
briefed. These people will be the "Kidnapped".
At midnight, we will take them out and designate a small corner to them
somewhere around the SALT Centre.
There will be 4 stations, each one manned by an OT member.
The 6th OT member will be in charge of taking care of the "Kidnapped". He
will ask teams a final question as they approach to claim their team mate.
Tasks will be assigned to different groups at each station and clues will be
given to the next station. Groups will be reconfigured for this event, to remind them that the Library
Club has to look out for one another.
Five stations, one kidnapper.
The specifics of each station
Station 1: Groups are required to tell three ghost stories to the OT member.
The ghost stories must be scary enough. (Rationale: To promote
communication and thinking on the spot.)
Station 2: Groups are required to answer ten questions regarding the Kong
Chian Library and Hwa Chong Institution. (Rationale: To ensure knowledge in
our school and promote school pride.)
Station 3: For this game you will need two hula hoops. All participants join
hands and form a circle. Two participants drop hands and put they arms
through the hula hoops. They then join hands again. The hula hoops are then
dangling from their arms. The objective of the game is to send the hula hoops
completely around the circle and return them to the starting point without
releasing hands. (Rationale: To promote teamwork.)
Station 4: Groups will be given two real-life scenarios (i.e. Your plane crashed,
pick 12 most essential items from the list.) They must answer more than 70%

of the options correctly and explain their answers. They will then be scored
against expert opinions. (Rationale: To test their response in emergencies.)
Station 5: We are still deciding.
The Kidnapper: He will request that groups do something funny as a team
effort before allowing them to claim their team mate.
