A- Design Management:

1. Prepare the Basis for Design ( BFD ) and the Scope of work

( SOW ) – Specifications, Design codes, Design criteria,

Standards, etc… .

2. Review the structural design ( Drawings & Calculation Sheets ),

reports specification submitted by the DESIGN CONSULTANT at

each stage of the Design to ensure completeness, correctness,

compliance with the scope of work, Design Codes & Standards

specified for the project.

3. Review in a timely manner the DESIGN CONSULTANTS

submittals and forward comments to the Senior Design Manager.

4. Ensure the DESIGN CONSULTANTS incorporates the comments

raised from previous stages.

5. Attend Technical meetings with the DESIGN CONSULTANTS

and other sub-consultants, contractors and Company Team.

6. Coordinate with PMC’s document Controller to ensure that all

Documents related to his discipline are properly controlled.

7. Review any alternative to the design concept submitted by the

DESIGN CONSULTANT, prepare and submit a report including

recommendation to the design manager highlighting advantages

and disadvantages of each alternative.

8. Liaise with Architects, Electrical & Mechanical Engineers to

develop the design in coordination with other design disciplines.
